Positive: The cottage was beautifully presented and very comfortable. The hosts left us a substantial welcome basket with crisps, jams, cake etc. The location is perfect, 1 min walk to the centre of the lovely town of Alford and 10 min drive to the beaches. Explore Mablethorpe for arcades and crazy golf or head to Sutton on Sea for a more chilled vibe. Huffoft beach is well worth a visit too. They are all soft sandy beaches! Alford has great antique and curio shops to explore, a decent sized co-op and goid cafes and take-aways.

Positive: Lovely welcome package of bread, milk etc. easy access into property. V helpful things to know guide.

Negative: Nothing to do with the property but the town was lacking we hadn’t visited before so this wasn’t a problem as we didn’t know what to expect but even Saturday morning dead with v few shops open. However property v nice and serves well as a base.

Summary: Lovely property warm, cosy and comfortable.

Positive: Beautiful cottage with such inviting friendly hosts. Very comfortable stay with everything you need. Kitchen utensils were spotlessly clean aswel as the bathrooms.. the whole cottage was beautifully clean. Lovely welcome gifts and message also generous amounts of basic needs and heating put on on arrival! Was a little confused regarding the parking after a long drive and the hosts responded promptly to my message enquiry with politeness and kindness. Cannot fault. Would highly recommend.

Negative: N/A However if I had to be ridiculously pernickety, I did unplug the fancy air fresheners. They were a bit too much in an already spotless, fresh and clean home! (good too much though) It was appreciated... But they were powerful... These hosts of printers don't scrimp or use the cheap stuff for sure! It's just a personal preference thing nevertheless. I mean can you really complain about a holiday home smelling too good!? You probably shouldn't.

Positive: It was very clean and decorated to a high standard. The welcome box was a really nice touch too, and a vase of flowers. I was there to visit my elderly parents so didn’t spend much time there really but it was a definite respite in the evenings. It’s larger than it looks from the outside too.

Positive: Lovely home everything you could want was there. Lovely touches like the welcome hamper, dog biscuits, games and fans. Good size parking bay. Local people very friendly. Farmers market on a Tuesday and we arrived on a 1940's weekend with live music, stalls and all the shops and people taking part wearing 1940's style clothes and all the town decorated.

Negative: WiFi was a bit difficult on last day and had to work that morning.
