Positive: I am very happy to have booked this place, it was worth every last yen. We booked for two people and the comfort is much better than any hotel. I was unsure at the beginning, but booking an appatment without onsen turned out to be the best decision. We chose to visit a different onsen every day, one day onsen with white water, one day with mud, one day with sand bath, big onsen complex, small lokal ones...the possibilities are too many to experience in Beppu! I would be sad to waste my time on one hotel onsen. Also, the appartment has very comfy beds. Our stay was very comfortable.

Positive: Location was good, once we found it.

Negative: Very hard to find arriving in the dark. There are several Prime Rooms nearby and this one doesn't have an English language name. Also our instructions said we were on the first floor and we spent 20 minutes failing to get in until we rang up and were told we were on the ground floor. Gaaahh! In Japan the ground floor is the first floor but would have been clearer if the Japanese instructions had been translated more clearly.

Summary: Pleasant stay - once we found the place!

Positive: In a quiet residential area, it was very quiet outside.

Negative: I couldn't sleep because the guests on the first floor were so loud.
