Positive: Very nice place, close to the beach and not crowded. Surfing point is not working there, but there is another one 1km away (Pottuvil point).

Negative: The light was not strong enough. It was kinda dark inside the bungalow. Stronger bulbs would be perfect. Going to arugam bay on a daily basis would be quite expensive with a Tuktuk.

Positive: The bungalows were very attractive, spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. I loved the indoor/outdoor nature of the bathrooms too. The gentleman, Richard, who manages the property was incredibly kind and accommodating. He has lived in the area for a number of years and was able to answer all of our questions. He gave us recommendations for places to eat, arranged tuk-tuks for us (Suresh ~ who we then used every day for the rest of our stay) and organised surfing lessons for us. The garden is gorgeous and beautifully maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. Whilst predominantly a place for surfers, due to the many breaks in the area, Pothuvil Point is a beautiful beach, very nearby, where you can swim. It also has a great cafe (Mohamed’s cafe) where you can get food, arrange a lagoon safari and rent boards. The lagoon safari was one of the highlights of our whole trip to Sri Lanka. We had a glorious stay and I would not hesitate to recommend Prime Surfers.

Negative: This is not a criticism ~ but it is quite remote. If you are looking for busy nightlife, then this isn’t the place for you. You can get a tuk-tuk into Aragum Bay which was about a £20 round trip. Worth it for different food options and to check out the beach (you can also swim in the bay too). But we just loved the beauty and peace of Prime Surfers and Pothuvil Point.

Summary: We had a brilliant stay. Absolutely glorious

Positive: Breakfast was minimal due to my being gluten free vegetarian, had nice fruit plate and eggs. Manager was very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable bed with good a/c. Walking distance to beach
