Summary: We had a great time at Villa Carla, our host Ciro greeted us at different location on the main road so we would find the property, which is tucked just up the hill outside of Balestrate. A perfect location for us, just a 10 minute walk to town through a very quiet neighbourhood so we were able to relax in private and in peace. Ciro took the time to tell us all about the property and how everything worked, then sent us an excellent list of recommendations for the area which was so helpful. The place itself is as advertised and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting by the lovely pool, with some beers and perfect local food from the nearby supermarket - in between enjoying restaurants in town and driving out to nearby spots. We would love to come back and if you're looking for a chilled place to explore from, at a very reasonable price, then would recommend a stay. Thanks so much Ciro and Balestrate! Hope to see you again

Summary: We just ended a 10 day stay at this beautiful house. Ciro (House manager) was especially helpful, friendly and very precise. He made sure everything ran smoothely. The absolut best feature of the property is the large private pool surrounded by mango and olive trees. The pool is very Well maintenanced by the owner. The House was spotless and Well-equipped. Be sure to rent a car, and go explore the surrounding cities. Would definetely recommend 😎

Summary: We had a wonderful family holiday at this private Villa that was surrounded by mango and other fruits trees. Ciro the host was very easy to communicate with throughout our stay and met us at a local petrol station to show us how to find the property and how everything worked when we arrived. The swimming pool is a amazing and kept us all entertained all week - we brought our own inflatable lilos in our hand luggage which was definitely worth doing (get yourself a battery powered micro air pump!). The property is about 300m from the nearest supermarket (Conrad) - there is a fairly steep hill to climb to get back to the villa, so pack sensible footware. We liked the town of Balestrate - it had some nice restaurants and there were 2 nearby beaches that were good - one beach had an inflatable assault course in the sea that the kids loved. The property had everything we needed - it was very clean and cool with some lovely outdoor seating areas to eat and drink at. We hope to return one day.

Summary: We had a great time in Balestrate. The welcome by Rita and Ciro was very nice. The villa is a typical Sicilian villa which will be nice and cool when the weather is hot. The swimming pool is great, nice size and extremely clean. Well maintained by Giorgio who comes to tend to the pool and the gardens approx 3 times a week end of the day. The pool area is very safe for children, has a gate which can be closed. The village is small but has a good selection of small supermarkets, vegetable shops and good restaurants and coffee place. All in all a nice place which we can recommend.

Summary: This villa was perfect for our one week stay in Sicily. Two bedrooms, one open living/dining/cooking area and a bathroom along with plenty of outside space there was definitely enough space for the four of us. Being met nearby by Ciro to guide us to the villa on day one was very useful. Driving was an experience very different to the UK, steep hills and bends and a bit of a free for all on the roads. Ciro and Georgio welcomed us to the property and ensured everything was ok before leaving us to settle. We were able to contact Ciro whenever needed for information about the villa and area. Georgio came twice in the week to clean the pool and delivered us mangoes. Best mangoes ever! I would recommend this villa to anyone looking for a quiet villa close to all attractions on the west of Sicily.

Summary: A relaxing week in the sunshine. Exclusive use of the sizeable pool was a definite plus. Villa was attractive, well equipped and very clean. A car is essential to reach the Villa as it is quite a steep route from the local town. Ciro explained everything we needed to know and made us feel very welcome. Also, Giorgio's mangoes were delicious!

Summary: The owner had been so helpful right from the start of this rental and on our arrival met and led us to the villa. Not only that he took us to a supermarket and helped in getting any shopping we needed. Once at the villa he went through all operational things and made sure we were happy with everything before leaving us. The road up to the villa is pretty daunting at first but you soon get use to it and the general driving on the island. The villa was superbly private and peaceful and you felt safe and secure there at all times. There was a great variety and options of seating both at the front and the rear of the property. Inside the lounge area was good with WiFi and satellite tv - although all the channels bar two were German so not much viewing if you don’t speak German. There was plenty of area for cooking and every utensil you would need and everything was clean and tidy. One thing that did cause us problems was the electric sockets were three pins so our European adaptors did not work - luckily there was one converter there and we purchased another. The swimming pool was out of this world and having outside shower and toilet made it even more amazing. Washing machine and outside washing line plus iron and ironing board if you need to carry out any laundry. This has to be the best villa we have ever stayed in and both Ciro and Georgia were the nicest people. In the town there is a lovely beach and hospitalities but the best gem was a restaurant on the market square called Perbacco - try it you won’t be disappointed. I hope this review has helped in reassuring you that this is a wonderful villa and you will be very happy.

Summary: We just came back from two wonderful weeks in Balestrate Villa Carla. The villa was perfect. Large clean pool, very private and not overlooked, every thing was hospital grade clean, the kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. The house has good wifi. It also has a very nice veranda that we enjoyed a lot. We were very lucky that the first night in the villa, the house cat gave birth to 5 kittens to our childrens joy. It took 10 minutes to walk downtown, but it is a rather steep hill when returning. The town is not very large, but it has everything you need, and you are close to the highway if you want to explore other areas. In Balestrate you will find a very nice long beach. It has both private areas where you can rent a sunbed and public areas. Both Giorgio (owner) and Ciro (manager) are very friendly and did everything to make our stay comfortable. Giorgio takes very good care of the house and comes by every other day to take care of the garden and clean the pool. Ciro is very good at english and answered any question we had within a few minutes.It felt reassuring knowing that if we would have encountered any kind of problem (being ill, problems with the rental car or anything like that) Ciro was only a phone call away. We can highly recommend this villa to anyone planning to visit Sicily!
