Positive: A high class of airport hotel. Feels brand new. Very large and comfortable room (junior suite, which I think is their second smallest). Large and quiet onsen. They were able to provide a baby cot (for 1500 Yen) despite the booking details implying this would not be possible.

Negative: Our room faced onto the Chitose military airport, with very noisy jet planes taking off frequently in the day (not ideal for a sleeping baby). Despite being vast, Chitose airport closes down at 9pm, with last orders for almost all restaurants between 7:30-8:00. The hotel appeared to lack casual / later dining options, so if you're staying make sure to find some food early. We got 2 free drinks vouchers on arrival for their top floor bar. Our (free) cocktails were very nice but we were charged an extortionate 1600 Yen for our daughter's small apple juice ($11, £8). That's at least 4x more than we've paid for a juice anywhere else in 5 weeks in Japan. So be warned if you have anything more than the free drink: it felt a bit of a scam unfortunately.

Positive: One of the best hotels in Hokkaido, with a spacious room and modern facilities including in house onsen. Excellent staff.

Negative: Restaurant dining requires prebooking which was not suggested before we arrived. The hotel is difficult to find from the domestic terminal as it is at the very end of the international terminal and not well sign posted.

Summary: True 5 star airport hotel.

Positive: Service was very good; Andrea the lobby service manager was very personable and helpful. Maya who helped us check out was a friendly face very early in the morning!

Negative: Signage was not as obvious walking from the domestic terminal particularly when coming in later in the evening
