Summary: The Second Time we are coming to this wonderful Holiday home on Sardegna. The flat with one bedroom with Double bed plus sleeper Double Couch in the spacious lounge is situated in a small village approx. 1 1/2 hrs car drive from Cagliari airport. It is situated in the highest Street going up the Mountain with a view from the private terrace overlooking the long bay with wide and extra long sandy beach in a nature Reserve. A short walk of 2 min down the hill takes one to the loooong beach, with the option to find a spot for your towel with plenty of room or Book a stretcher in front of the beach Restaurant. For dinner the local choice is between cooking at home in the small but sufficiently equipped kitchen or going out to a variety of surprisingly good restaurants for so small a village. When a Break from Beach is required there are excursions available to Roman Ruins, Natural caves or tunnels in old mines. This South Western corner of Sardegna seems less widely touristically developped than other Sardegnean areas and so even in August is not overcrowded. The best convenience of the flat are its lockable window shutters with adjustable slats so that sleeping at Night is possible with open Windows to let cool wir circulate the flat. Aircon is available but we have Never had Occasion to use it.

Summary: This summer we (2persons) spend 1 week in Portixxedu. No need to explain that nature is wonderful in the region of Costa Verde. This is well known and all info can be found on internet. What we did not know on forehand was that the apartment also was very nice. This is always the “unknown” when a holiday is booked; how will the apartment look? The apartment is newly renovated; this means that everything is new! The combined room/kitchen is well equipped; bedroom has a new bed. Bathroom is small but shower is good (warm and strong). The terrace is a bit small and not 100%private but it is only 100meters to the beach (so why bother for a terrace?). The apartment is equipped with airco, though it is rather cool by itself. As it is located at end of the street the surrounding is very calm. Unfortunate we did not meet Elvira, but she was very helpful in sending info on sightseeing /shops / general. So, final rating for us; 5 stars out of 5.
