Positive: The room was spacious and beautifully designed, with a large, spotless bathroom and a wonderful view. The location couldn’t be more convenient—right across the street from the port, making it perfect for travelers arriving in Palermo by ferry, especially those with large luggage. Overall, an excellent stay and highly recommended for anyone visiting Palermo by sea.

Negative: Despite being close to the port, the noise from the ships was minimal and stopped completely after 10 p.m., so it didn’t affect our rest at all.

Negative: Unfortunately, the noise level was extremely high due to the active port just outside — it was very difficult to rest properly. In addition, the shower drained poorly and overflowed, which caused water to spread all over the bathroom floor.

Positive: It was a walkable distance from the historic centre and to all local amenities and transport. The room is located at the edge of a very complex, insular but authentic neighbourhood.

Negative: - If you are port facing, you need to be cognisant that it is a working port and therefore very loud all day. - There isn’t a kettle or fridge in the room but is located in the communal lounge. - can be a little out of the way and isolated at night if a lone traveller.

Summary: It’s great for those that give it a chance.
