Positive: Fabulous location with private beach access next to a popular beach. Close to PPT (20 min drive), and refreshing to be out of the city without having to park/dive to beach. It was quiet, relaxing and even cuter then the photos. Private/safe parking. Excellent hosts made us feel very welcomed.

Positive: We primarily chose this accommodation for its perfect location, and we were not disappointed. Situated right on a beautiful black sandy beach (literally out the back gate) for swimming and snorkelling, next door to a peaceful nature reserve with historic monuments, food trucks and a cultural craft centre, and not far down the road from local supermarkets, restaurants and churches. We also loved our room which was spacious and comfortable opening on to a lush lawn and garden setting with birds and water views. But the real highlight was our amazing hosts, Guy and Ingrid, who treated us like family, and looked after us so kindly in so many ways. We arrived in the middle of the night and they were up to greet us and get us settled in. Guy and Ingrid drove us to various places, took us to the markets, invited us to share an amazing seafood breakfast with them, and were always on hand to help with anything, as well as giving us the space to do our own thing. This was our first time in French Polynesia, and we can't think of a better way to experience it than with these lovely and generous people. Thank you so much Guy and Ingrid - you made the first leg of our world trip unforgettable!! Love, Stuart and Jenny :))

Positive: Great location by the beach with views of Moorea although only from the beach- not the room- Though you really need a car. It's a long walk to the local shops. Food trucks next door at busy beach times.
Negative: It’s not really made clear that this is a room sandwiched between the hosts very nice house and his garage. There is no patio- there is green lawn space, alongside the house. Room was fine but dark. There is no washing machine although it is listed. The host has one in the garage and he made it obvious he didn’t want me to use it – he never emptied it, even though I asked. It’s also not made clear on the listing that only cash is acceptable. When I booked it said credit cards were accepted though that seems now to have been removed. It can be very noisy when the beach is busy. Door was opened by inserting a piece of wire into the tumbler. Not very security conscious. Owner said no-one ever asks for keys. I’m astonished. I’m a female on my own. It didn’t help that I lost it – got charged 45 USD as he said he didn’t have another one! Bikes were offered but only for males – I can’t ride a man’s bike- I have a bad back and can’t get my leg over..!

Positive: Great location with direct access to the beautiful beach of Point Venus and the park. In the park there is an artisan shop, which is a great place to buy local souvenirs. The unit is well done, spacious and very clean. Guy et Ingrid are welcoming, friendly and helpful hosts. It was very nice of them to invite us for an aperitif. We had a great time. We were also lucky to be there at the time of the Heiva Festival; each night dance and singing groups performed at Point Venus Park.
