Positive: It is a great place to stay, very quiet, clear sky and fresh air, fantastic views and great opportunities for hiking in the surroundings and relaxing in the garden. It is a comfortable house with all the useful facilities in a small settlement in the mountains with friendly neighbours

Negative: For shopping you need to descend in ca 15 minutes to Pieve Santo Stefano, but it has a large super marked and lots of shops and restaurants/take away. The drive itself is relaxing on the narrow road through the forest, so one can enjoy this trip as well. You can also easily drive to the larger city Sansepolcro via the SP77 in ca. 25 minutes.

Positive: The property is quite high up the hillside, with a lovely view of the valley below. Its about a 5-10 mins drive to the nearest town. It was very clean, charming and equipped. We were able to check in very late due to the key box. The host, Vittorio is very communicative and easily contactable on Whatsapp. Inside, the rooms are good sizes and everywhere was very clean. Its a charming place, with an old rustic feel. There is a decent sized garden space down below and a patio outside the front door to sit out/eat/cook etc. There is wifi, satellite TV and both TVs have a Fire stick if you or your kids want to log into your streaming apps and a number of board games in the TV cabinet. The property has a 'shop' - a cabinet where the host has left a selection of local wine on an honesty system - great idea.

Negative: For the time we were going, we couldn't think of anything. Its not a dislike as such, just a thought - perhaps the crockery needs updating, as much of it is damaged.

Summary: This was a perfect place for our needs. We will try to come back here next time we visit.

Positive: It is really a poetic resting place where you can find inspiration in the embrace of the mountains. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of food. Everything you might need is close at hand, but the best place to relax is the outside yard of the house, also for dogs! We'll come back.
