The property has 2000 sq. m. of completely fenced garden, mostly lawn with tall trees, plants and shaded bushes which contribute to create a particularly comfortable atmosphere in which to relax. The pool is in this garden and measures 12 metres by 6 with a depth of 1.5m. There is a bathing area with sunbeds and a cold water shower. Guests can use a covered panoramic loggia on one side of the house with a table, chairs, a stonework barbecue and wood-burning stove ideal for outdoor dinners. Parking within the property.Interior
The farmhouse has recently been restored, whilst maintaining its traditional aspects like wood beams, cotto and stone walls, creating the magical atmosphere of an old Tuscan farmhouse. The furniture and utensils are characteristic of a country house. The main entrance, on the ground floor, leads to a spacious living room with a TV, fireplace, double sofa bed and direct outdoor access. The cooking area is next to the living room and is fully-equipped, with a table for 6 persons. Guests will then find a double bedroom, one bedroom with two beds (with a high window overlooking the double bedroom), one bathroom with shower.

The farmhouse is immersed in the green Tuscan hills (700 metres above sea level) which overlook the beautiful woods of Monte Amiata. There is a great view of the surrounding countryside, which changes its colours every season. Summary: The host is very friendly and uncomplicated. The location of the house is very good and close to a grocery store. The hous is exactly as on the photos. Have fun on your vacation in this beautiful house!

Summary: We are a family of 5 (children 9,13,14) We had a wonderful stay at the Mezzavia house. The large garden and big pool being the big plus. The owners are very friendly and helpfull. When we had a question the response was quick by whatsapp. They live not so far from the premises so, when needed arrive quickly. In our case we had some problems with the wifi. They responded quick and took care of it and we had good wifi again. The pool is cleaned daily and towels and bed linen included. The surrounding area has a lot of forrest and nice Tuscany views. There are two small Villages directly in the neighborhood, one up the hill (Abbadia San Salvatore) and one more down. You will be needing a car to move around here. We visited some towns nearby and also a bit further, like Pienza, Montalcino (winetasting) and ofcourse Siena. We also had a walk in the forrest near Castiglione d' Orcia. On the premises (not in the house ;-) ) we had some kittens that sometimes you will see chasing eachother and give you some attention when having dinner outside. the premises is on a private road and you have more than enough privacy. All in all we had great stay and can recommend this place if you want a relaxed place with a spacious pool. recommendations: We had our own coffee machine with us. But if we would not have, that would be a miss. We did not find one. Thanks Antonia for the being such a kind and friendly host! Maybe we will visit again. Diederik Willems
