Positive: Property is beautiful beyond words. There is sense of privacy although all the homes were occupied.

Negative: The pool was what made our stay. It was right kind of refreshing- not too cool, not too warm. The view from the pool is stunning. We made sure to spend quite a lot of time there despite being away a lot. I cannot praise the staff and owners enough - they were very welcoming and informative. Elisabetta helped out a lot with reservations and crucial tourist information.

Positive: The location of this property is so special. It's located up a winding road before you come up a long beautiful drive to the top where you're greeted by restored buildings, a spacious car park and tennis court. The swimming pool is behind the tennis court and the views are just spectacular. We didn't tire of them at all during our trip. We stayed at Cassetta - a studio type apartment with lots of storage space and a private area behind for us to relax and sunbathe. Elisabetta, the custodian is very helpful and just being able to Whatsapp her for clean towels or bedding was so easy. I was surprised at how much Italy recycles and was impressed with the various bins. Michael and Lynn, the owners are incredibly kind with Michael having an encylopedic knowledge of the property, its history and the surrounding areas. We wanted to pick his brain a bit more whilst we were there but we didn't have the chance. Borgo San Lorenzo is a short drive away and we felt that the train to Florence was so easy (just 40 mins). For us it was important to be able to visit the hustle and bustle of the city, but have beautiful Tuscan views to come home to. The apartment was clean and comfortable.

Negative: My side of the bed was a bit squeaky. I probably should have said something whilst I was there but I couldn't think how it would have been solved really. My bad. And sadly like a lot of self contained apartments, the kitchen knives need a good sharpening. Other than that this place was faultless!

Positive: The owners are very friendly and helpful and speak English. Great location in the hills and with a beautiful view on Borgo San Lorenzo. We liked the tennis court (tennis rackets and balls available!). The accomodation was spacious and nicely decorated. It was a bit too cold to use the swimming pool (we were there end of April) but the pool and its view is awesome.

Summary: Great place if you like nature, peace and great views. Highly recommended.
