Positive: Every day I was greeted with a cup of coffee, toast with butter and jam, and a bowl of fresh cut fruit. The fruit was usually guava and melon.

Summary: Beautiful gardens, very safe, great location, helpful staff, especially Andrea.

Positive: Beautiful room, great location, and staff amazing. Spacious room, with AC and located just a few blocks from the Chapala boardwalk (walking distance).

Negative: Nothing to say, all was superb.

Positive: I had a problem the first night. My bed was too soft and I had back pain. I told the Manager and he moved me to a much better bedroom and bed. The hotel is off the main street of Lake Chapala. It was also right near the walkway next to the lake. There were a number of restaurants nearby. I say this because when in the Hotel it was totally quiet. And I'm someone who needs a quiet room to be able to sleep. I had no problems. The breakfast was included and there were a few choices. I always had the same thing and it was always very well cooked and there was a willingness to make a few changes. As an aside - the staff was very friendly and helpful. I'd be happy to stay there again if I returned.

Summary: Excellent experience - Excellent location and room quality, excellent service.

Positive: Hotel Plaza Chapala is closely located to the Malecon and lots of restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean, the beautiful garden with mature trees is located away from the road noise.

Negative: For $130USD/night ($2340 MXN) we got a very small room WITHOUT a WINDOW, only 4 feet away from the reception! Until midnight we had to listen to 2 employees talking right behind our room door! Next day we paid additional $300 MXN to get a room with a window away from the reception. The only highlight of the breakfast was orange juice. The rest of the food was really bad, the cheapest wet bread even after the toaster, pancakes from a mix, bad coffee and margarine instead of butter! For what they charge per night I was expecting to have good coffee from a machine (not from a thermos) and a piece of quality bread with butter.

Positive: The location, room and staff were all great.

Negative: Because it’s on the Main Street the noise can be a little loud. It quiets down after 11pm & the hotel leaves ear plugs— but be aware it’s what you get when you wait to be near the main area of town.
