Positive: Quiet location friendly staff good food sunsets and warm water good size room in older but well kept property. Little things like flower petals on the bed every day a coffee cup that never emptied at the delicious included breakfast

Negative: Hot water in the shower was not always available, tips boxes at breakfast, staff wasn’t the smiliest

Negative: Felt nickel and dimed for a room that cost $250 a night with fees. No water or ice machine available. Only 1 beach towel per person available for entire stay. Boasted great snorkeling but no equipment available, had to go to hotel over to rent. Hotel itself quiet but between 2 massive beach clubs

Positive: The beach was amazing. The breakfast was very good and the bar! The staff was very polite and helpful

Negative: The rooms are old and you can feel the humidity. There is no net for the mosquitos on the window. They charge for every little thing, losing a beach towel is 50USD even though the quality does not correspond to that amount.

Positive: We loved our stay at Playa Azul. It is a quiet place and very enjoyable. The beach and swimming area were beautiful. Our room was large and had an amazing view and balcony. The bed was very comfortable and the mini-fridge was appreciated. We also liked the breakfast buffet and having a dive shop onsite. The loungers under palapas on the beach were great. Kermit at the beach bar made a good margarita. Service was very good all around.

Negative: Breakfast was good, but the other food was just ok.

Summary: Playa Azul is a nice quiet place to stay with wonderful views.
