Summary: Room was a good size, comfy bed, good bathroom and shower. Staff member at checkin @ 23.30 was welcoming and happy, despite the hour. Breakfast was €15 and good value as there is a huge buffet of cereals, fruit, eggs, meats, cheeses, pastries, bread (+toaster) juices, coffee + tea. Checkout is 10.00, although you can have late checkout for a fee. The airport shuttle is free, but doesn't drop or pickup at the hotel -- you have to walk 250m to the car park (perhaps the primary users of shuttle) despite the shuttle bus then driving right by the hotel!! And while we were collected right at Terminal 2, our departure was from T1, and again there was a 250m walk. Some reviews mentioned they couldn't find the shuttle, so I contacted the hotel in advance, and they sent me very detailed instructions -- even I couldn't get it wrong.

Summary: Clean, comfortable, and well-priced hotel near the airport. The only drawback is that the shuttle picks one up at the airport at a shuttle stop in front of the medical clinic, which is about 250 m. (820 ft.) from Terminal 1; similarly, the shuttle drops one off not at the hotel entrance, but at a parking structure another 250 m. or so from the hotel entrance. On a rainy day, this can be a problem.

Summary: My husband and I had to unexpectedly book one night at this hotel, due to an insane flight delay turning Frankfurt from a quick layover to an overnight stay. The convenience of location (~15 minutes from the airport) influenced our decision. However, Platzhirsch Living as an airport hotel goes above and beyond in quality and comfort of the room. We weren't able to try the complimentary breakfast because of our early morning flight, though it looked delicious. If you're in need of a good rest and a quick jaunt to the airport, Platzhirsch Living will foot the bill and then some.

Summary: The Platzhirsch Living has a peaceful atmosphere, despite being pretty close to the airport. When you look out of your window you'll see lots of trees. The rooms are clean and modern, and the hotel restaurant is a pleasant and inviting experience. Staff were helpful and easy to talk to. I liked how it didn't feel overcrowded or loud. Food was tasty as well. What's also nice is the shuttle service to the airport which goes about every half an hour. The only difficulty is getting to Kelsterbach. If you take the S-Bahn there, you will have to walk 20 minutes from the Kelsterbach station. I'm not sure if you could easily find the shuttle if you arrive from the Frankfurt airport. In any case, this is a nice hotel.
