Positive: Location is quiet with s lovely sunset view from the restaurant deck overlooking the slow moving Mekong River and its fishermen. Upper floor corner room was comfortable with a good bed and two window views so good light during the day.

Negative: Shower drain didn’t drain properly and almost flowed past the toilet area into the room. Staff addressed our concern so the next morning, it worked a bit better but still was slow to drain so seems like it needs to be cleaned out better and maintained.

Summary: Would return again for the sunset view

Positive: Amazing place for Lao Pilgrims, border runners, culture vultures and ramblers. It's homey, comfortable and so laid back. Superb food - Indian, Mexican, Western and local. Eat on the wooden terrace right next to the Mekong or in air-conditioned comfort. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful The best coffee I have had in a long time. Oh, so comfortable and relaxing by the river.

Negative: If you accept Savannakhet's laid back style then nothing important If you looking for a 5 star luxury resort then this is not it and you will see minor faults.

Positive: Amazing place on the bank of Mekong river, beautifull terace for relaxing or having delicious meal, very kind people and kind and very well english speaking owner. Don't forget to taste and buy their tasty coffee. In my opinion the best place where to stay in Savannakhet.
