Positive: Property was very clean and had everything you would need.

Negative: I did not see the email with the directions which made entering the space difficult as there is no signage around. After standing around and a local letting us in, when I went to go send a message through the app, I noticed that an email came in with all the codes and instructions. Not close with kids to attractions. We had to take Ubers each time we left.

Summary: Clean hotel with all amenities but not close to attractions.

Positive: We've been in Rome many times (in another hotel/apartment), and I can confirm that Pia Domus is located in a calm residential area compared to where we've stayed before. As otherwise in Rome you may often end up staying in a property where you have windows towards a busy street or junction with poor sound isolation. A bus stop (Porta Pia) is just in walking distance (5-7 mins) where you can reach Termini Station in a direct connection within 15 mins or Vatican City within 30 mins. Mini markets and good choices of Italian and international restaurants and an excellent Gelateria are just close by where you can find local people eating there. The property provides complete amenities, kitchenette and equipments for a family comfort stay. It also includes daily cleaning service and they changed the towels everyday. The instruction to access the Appartment was clear, sent through booking com messages.

Negative: We've stayed in an Appartment where the master bed is located in a mezzanine with a narrow staircase. Maybe it is not too ideal for senior people. The window has a back-building view with walls, but it is not dark. And anyway if you visit Rome you won't spend your time to stay too long in your room and this is also why - as advantage - you have a very quiet room there and can sleep well to recharge your energy for the following day.

Positive: The hotel/Apartment is conveniently located near markets, bus stations, and a taxi stop. The location is quiet and peaceful. Easy to connect with places of interest. The room and bathroom were small but comfortable.

Positive: We liked how each bedroom was like it’s on little apartment. Each room has it’s on bathroom, kitchenette, loved this. Location was great for us. The coffee shop’s staff on the corner was a must for me every morning. While I did not actually meet the staff, Communication was very good. I reached out to them several time and they respond promptly. The price is great. Would stay there anytime I return to Rome.

Positive: The host and cleaning lady were lovely and very responsive/ helpful. There was a variety of readymade breakfast treats provided. The bathroom and room were dust-free, and the beds were comfortable. The location was great too.

Negative: I got very ill when I arrived to when I left - we couldn't see any, but we suspect there is mould/ damp in the room, as both our sinuses were clogged in the bedroom and we could smell it on occasion. We found even being in the bathroom or out of the room, our sinuses started to clear up. Not sure if it was in the room or from the AC filter not being changed, but something that I'd recommend the host look at urgently.

Summary: Would have been perfect if not for mould/ damp issue
