Secluded resort like property on Upper Phantom Lake with over 200 feet of sandy beach on one of the cleanest lakes in Wisconsin. Private cove area, with a landing leading to a 25' pontoon boat. A large wooded pier with a swimming platform and built-in fire pit area on the beach. A secluded concrete patio with over 500 square feet of usable space, with custom built-in fire place, stainless steel charcoal grill, and pig roaster with a stainless steel spit. The patio has an island with granite counter-top with 8 high back chairs and a built-in refrigerator. Total seating area's on the patio will accommodate up to 20 people.
As you proceed to the main property and to the lake front you walk through a court-yard with a water fall and seating area. You then proceed under an open veranda to the beach. The veranda has a ceiling fan, exposed support beams and tongue and groove red cedar with red granite pillars. The court-yard and veranda has seating for 14-18 people. You can then proceed to a pathway leading to the beach area or enter the house through the main door.
Proceeding to the beach adjacent to the pier is the winding stair case to the upper decks. The upper decks have a beautiful view of the cove and bay area of the lake. The lower of the two decks has a living room seating area, which seats 7-10 people. The adjoining deck has a granite dinning room table seating 6 featuring an outdoor kitchen with stainless steel propane gas grill, refrigerator, and sink. A boardwalk off the deck to a side entrance of the house has an outdoor shower.
The house features two full kitchens, one is on the ground floor level off the veranda and the main kitchen is on the second floor. Upper kitchen is a galley style with granite counter tops, with tile flooring, built-in wine cooler, GE Profile appliances. Great room has oak flooring, with pitched ceiling with exposed support beams. Open concept with four large windows over looking the cove and bay area of the lake. Large fire place with granite pavers with a brown leather sectional and matching chairs. Dining room table in great room can seat 6 people. New 70" television with cable is also part of the great room décor.
Off the Great Room, there is a year around sun room with heated tile floors, a water fountain with seating for 5. The sun room offers views of the cove and bay area of the lake.
The Master bedroom on this level offers floor to ceiling windows has a feel of being in a "tree house" with its magnificent views of the cove and bay area of the lake. There are two bathrooms on this level one with a bathtub and the other with a shower. Nestled on this level is a cozy library with seating for three. The built-in book shelves offers books of varying interest to be enjoyed while visiting the property.
First floor kitchen is European style, which can seat 4-6 people. First floor Bathroom has granite counter top and a large shower. Both bedrooms on first floors have televisions with cable. One bedroom has a private alcove with built-in sink and mirror. All rooms have exposed beams throughout.
Property was design by architect, Ed Gray who patterned the design from Frank Lloyd Wright. Most of the original materials of the property were recycled from places throughout Waukesha County, such as marble from the State Bank of Waukesha, granite pavers from the Streets of Grand Avenue in the City of Waukesha, lamps and doors from the Waukesha Post Office, etc.

Summary: We had a lovely lake weekend for a bachelorette party! The property (both inside and out) is gorgeous and well maintained. Very unique home - feels special and unlike anywhere we’ve ever stayed. The lake water was extremely clean and perfect for swimming right off of their dock. We also took the pontoon boat out and had a great boat ride! The kitchens (both outdoor and indoor) are well stocked - having anything you may need to grill or cook inside! They even have a fire set up and ready to go! We didn’t leave the property once all weekend because truly everything we could’ve wanted was there! We would definitely return again (for a longer stay) and recommend it to anyone considering a special gathering or relaxing vacation.

Summary: Our family planned a long weekend get away. Fred and Patti were amazing hosts. They greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the property. The house had so many cool features and the beach was perfect for our granddaughter to enjoy. There was something for everyone to do...kayak, fish, swim, read, and relax. The kitchen had all the things we needed to make all of our meals and we grilled out and had campfires on the beach. Fred and Patti were available to answer any questions we had during our stay. You can tell they have poured so much love and care into their house and it was a pleasure getting to enjoy it with our family. Thank you so much Fred and Patti Peggy and Bob

Summary: This house is truly one of a kind. The large windows in multiple rooms look out on the lake. There is a waterfall outside and a fountain room inside. Fantastic! The furnishings throughout are tasteful and comfortable, including the table on the side deck, just ready for a picnic-style lunch. The bedrooms and bathrooms are arranged on two levels which is nice for privacy. And one last plus: You can rent a pontoon boat that is docked at the private (and large) dock just outside the house at the sandy water's edge. In warmer weather you can also swim in the shallow, clear water, and play in the sand or take the two-person kayak out for a spin around the lake. This house checks every box!

Summary: My 5 siblings and rent a home every year for our Siblings Weekend; Phantom's Cove offered a very special setting for 2021. Fred and Patty couldn't be better hosts! They are very responsive in their communication and were exceptionally welcoming at check-in. The setting is exceptional; the house is at the end of a winding, wooded lane; there is a more than 180 degree view of Phantom Lake. There are several outdoor gathering spaces with various grills, different seating types and arrangements. The house itself is well-equipped; with a lovely great room, a small solarium, small library and 4 bedrooms. There is a waterfall fountain at the entrance to the house and another fountain in the solarium. The huge windows afford lovely lake views from the house and there are various types of seating for gathering in groups or cuddling up with a book. The main dining area and kitchen worked very well for us; there is even a second kitchen/dining area for party-overflow! Our weekend included a trip to the Waukesha Farmer's Market and hiking in the southern Kettle Moraine woods. It added up to a magical weekend. I strongly recommend Phantom Cove as a special vacation site!
