1 Bedroom Cabin in Sugar Grove

No mountain experience is complete without a fully-immersive, nature-infused farm experience for your family, complete with a full petting zoo (shared only with our other cabins on property), 1/4 mile of creek frontage, ponds, hiking trails and 15 acres of manicured grounds with land art, swings and whimsy around every corner! And we then decided to add a bird estuary, ziplines and a trampoline 🤪
The goats and huge bunnies have arrived and more animals to come, ducklings are hatching, maybe we will add a full bird estuary with chickens, roosters, peacocks, turkeys? BIRD ESTUARY ADDED!

When we are not hosting small weddings (yes, the space and 15 acres are THAT picturesque), we welcome you and a loved one or your small family to enjoy the river, the acreage, the ponds, the swings, the secrets around every turn, but most importantly, the experience of staying in such a unique cabin rental, something worthy of your Instagram feed.
When we began this process, we wanted to create something that Millenials salivate over (unique), something small families would return to and watch the excitement through their children's eyes and something yesteryear that pulled at the heart strings of the retirees. We nailed the experience!
Nestled on a 15+ acre property with hiking and walking trails, plenty of outdoor spaces to sit, lounge and take in nature, two ponds and 1000+ feet of state-trout-stocked creek frontage, your rental will give you a little of yesteryear with all the modern conveniences of today. Mountain charm at its best! And less than 20 minutes to downtown Boone, Valle Crucis and Banner Elk and within 35 minutes of all the major ski resorts (App Ski, Sugar, Beech and Hawksnest), the location is perfect - away from it all (the mountain experience you expect), but easy access to your family activities with no major inclines too and from town during the winter months!

Starry Nights is the upper level of our Barn (Fairytale is a rental below) and is comfy and cozy for two, but welcomes up to 2 adults and 2 kids (King + Pullout Couch + Blow-up Q). With a full kitchen, full bathroom, WiFi, Satellite TV and comfortable California King bed, you will have everything you need!
And the kids will truly be one with nature (as will you) with acres to explore, frogs to find, birds to watch, stones to skip, swings all over and hidden gems we keep a surprise ... the list goes on and on.
The property has so much to offer. You can take a walk around the property (15 fully accessible acres), hike through the woods, smell beautiful seasonal flowers, choose a picnic spot, benches to rest your legs, sit to enjoy your own slice of mountain life. You might see some wildlife, as there is an abundance and the Bethel area land is not as developed as other towns. There are also two ponds on your property! Tube down the lazy creek or stroll through the vegetable garden, relax, sit back, take a load off, you have earned it. You deserve it!
You are sure to find something that will be a memory to take home. "Calming, stress relieving, and peaceful." These are the words we hear time and time again to describe this beautiful well-maintained, gated and secluded property.
You are invited to visit our little piece of heaven, and feel free to bring your pet (requires pre-approval, certain breeds are NOT allowed and we prefer pets under 25 pounds, $50 fee) - you’ll be glad you did!
This is the upper unit, one large room with private bathroom. You have access from a different side of the property than downstairs and a deck on the opposite side (with your own private hot tub and grill) from the downstairs unit with 16" beams and insulation separating you - we spared no expense in making sure the two units are as segregated as possible for privacy. You share only the roof, no shared spaces inside! Downstairs is called FAIRYTALE and is Vrbo #1372411
NOTE: The single in the photos is in the downstairs stairwell, separated by a bolt lock from the downstairs unit allowing just enough privacy for guests upstairs. It is not meant for one child and can be cold in the winter months.

Summary: We spent three nights at Starry Nights. Connie, the owner was so kind! The whole property is beautiful. So many whimsical details and I loved the animals! Starry nights was beautiful and clean. Such a romantic getaway. Convenient to Boone, Banner Elk, Beech Mountain, and we even took a drive to Bristol, TN. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for romance, style, and fun!

Summary: We had planned to do several things on in the area on our trip but fell so in love with the barn and the property we didn’t want to leave. Our trip off property ended up consisting of a trip to the grocery store so we could get back. It was the perfect relaxing weekend getaway!

Summary: We had such an amazing and relaxing time! The petting zoo was so cute! We stayed for two nights and came to ski and relax:) The only critique I have was that the bathroom (specifically the shower) was not cleaned but other than that it was so clean and a super comfy space! The property is shared and perfect for anyone who loves unique spots. We definitely want to return back and stay for longer- but we were so lucky to have the two days we did! We bought carrots for the animals too (super funny watching the goats jump with excitement!). Another fun thing was exploring the property and getting to see the hidden items on the property! The trampoline, swings, hammocks, fire pits, etc were so fun! We couldn’t have loved a place more! Thank you for this experience! See you soon!!

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at this property. Connie, the owner was extremely responsive regarding our questions. The accommodations & property are immaculate. There is the sweetest petting zoo & walking trails around her 15 acre property (complete with disc swing and in-ground trampoline!) Very safe as well, as I had the pleasure of sprinting after my very “spirited” 4 year old up & down the trails. 🙃 we will certainly be back! Thanks Connie for such wonderful accommodations. -Karla

Summary: This property is wonderful for families. On-site petting “zoo” consisting of goats, bunnies, small horses, and a wide variety of birds! Not to mention the alpacas! Playground, fire pits, beautiful surroundings for walking/hiking and the accommodations for gathering, eating, sleeping, etc. exceeded our expectations! On our last morning there, we woke up to a dusting of snow! A truly magical place!
