Summary: The cabin was amazing and very comfortable for a large group. The lake was also very picturesque and well managed. The biggest issue I have with this rental is that fact that neither of the pools are available for the renters. You must pay at both pools and we were charged FULL price at one of the pools, the Big Canoe Recreation ($140 for a group of 8 people!!) On our next to last day we finally located the Wild Cat Rec Park where another paid pool was located. This one was much more reasonable with about a $30 fee. The pool was much smaller, but the attendants were nice and pool was clean. This location should state that the pools are not included in the booking fee. I wouldn't have booked this cabin with 5 children without a pool available as an amenity.

Summary: Excellent, beautiful place. Had fun driving to it (curves, mountain sides). Very roomy. Everything is there. Check in is only at certain times and we just made it, so make sure you check that.

Summary: The property was beautiful. The area had so much to offer. The only negative interaction we had was one of our guests got lost on their way out of the property and were not allowed to leave until they went to the "proper" gate. That seemed extremely excessive for someone just trying to leave.

Summary: The cabin is exactly as described. The Big Canoe community is SPECTACULAR, although the main pool shown in the Expedia photos was dirty and closed. However, the marina and the trails were open. Our only issue was that the cottage was delivered to us at 5:00 PM instead of 4:00 PM because they said it was being cleaned. When we entered at 5:00 PM, the cottage was still not clean. There were two pork chops inside the microwave, spider webs in both bedrooms and on the walls, and the front door, which was white, had black dirt on it that we cleaned ourselves. There was also a fly in the sink of the main bathroom. The bed sheets were clean. We decided to clean and stay anyway because we wanted to enjoy our time.

Summary: The inside looked like it had been recently renovated. It was more than enough room for 8 people. The kids loved the loft! The location was great. We came in late winter/early spring and it was perfect hiking weather with the kids. The kitchen was more than large enough to make pizzas for dinner and bacon and pancakes for breakfast. I highly recommend taking their suggestion of bringing your own streaming device if you want to do movie night; they make set up very easy. We can’t wait to come back in the summer when we can take advantage of more of the amenities.
