The Bear Path Lodge on Little Spider Lake is located on the water with a large private dock. Situated with privacy among the trees while still being close to all the action, this 6 bedroom, 4 full and 2 half bathroom rustic modern home is ideal for groups and families that want to enjoy both relaxation and fun in Wisconsin’s North Woods. You will love the spacious home with high end furnishings, multiple bedrooms, a bunk room for kids, and a huge screened in porch. One of the best features of this home is the lower level bar and game room that you’ll never want to leave! Spend your days swimming, fishing, boating, and floating! You can even park your boat in the private boat slip. Renters’ amenities include lily pad water mat, water rafts, kayak, Canoe, and paddle board. Relax at night star gazing around the wood burning fire pit.
ABOUT THE HOME
The 6 bedroom, 4 full and 2 half baths, 3,000 square foot home features beautiful views and a warm, open floor plan over three levels. Enjoy rustic modern finishes and high end furnishings with a stone fireplace, cathedral ceilings with exposed beams, hardwood floors, brand new natural stone countertops, and Viking, Bosch & Sub Zero appliances. The lower level boosts a one of a kind rustic bar, electric fire place, large smart TV and a game room that will provide family fun for hours.
Outside you can enjoy your morning coffee and the beautiful view from the deck, patio, or dock. You can also relax on the screened-in porch on a cozy sofa or enjoy a meal at the dining table. The deck includes a gas grill and Traeger for guests use
Park your boat on our private dock for the week. The public boat launch is less than five minutes away. If it’s rainy, enjoy a movie on one of the nine flat screen TV’s or enjoy the games and puzzles provided. In the evenings, enjoy the panoramic views while dinner cooks on the gas grill. Do some fishing off the dock, watch the sunset with a glass of wine from the screened-in porch, or make s’mores while sitting around the fire pit.
THE LOCATION
The Bear Path Lodge is the perfect location for those that want the feeling of seclusion in the North Woods yet only minutes to “everything”.
Minocqua is only fifteen minutes away and a hot spot especially in the summer for family fun and entertainment. There are ski shows, lumber jack competitions, and state hiking trails. Enjoy the charming downtown area with shopping and great restaurants/breweries.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
You will find high speed WiFi throughout the house. For those that are looking to combine a week of vacation with a little work as well we have a private area in the lower level bedroom with desk, chair, and printer if needed.
We offer a fully furnished kitchen including dishes, silverware, pots and pans, coffee brewer, Keurig, crock pot, blender, and basic pantry items. Individual condiments are provided for guests as well.
We provide bed linens, bath towels, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish detergent, and laundry detergent. For those with little ones a pack and play is available for use.
Life jackets in various sizes, beach towels, floaties and a cooler are provided for lake use. You will also find a floating lily pad water mat for swimming off the dock, fishing rods, kayaks and paddle boards.
Your safety matters. This property features exterior security cameras of the driveway, front porch, shed, and facing the dock. They do not look into any interior spaces
THE LAYOUT
The first level of the home features an open kitchen, coffee bar, dining and main living space. The focal point of this open room is a floor to ceiling stone fireplace and a wall of glass overlooking the lake. You will find multiple ways to access to the beautiful screened in porch with dining and comfortable seating area. Also, you will find a powder room and a laundry with washer and dryer. A secondary washer and dryer are also located in the garage. The master bedroom is located on the main floor with king bed, and attached bathroom and access to the deck that overlooks the lake.
Head down the open staircase to the lower level where you’ll find an amazing game room with a pool table, ping pong, dart board, arcade games, shuffle board table and foosball! Enjoy a drink at the rustic custom bar with live edge wood top. Warm up by the electric fireplace to watch a movie or a game. Also in the lower level you will find a private bedroom with queen bed and full bath.
The second floor offers three bedrooms with queen beds and two full bathrooms. Over the garage is an additional bunk room. This is a great hang out space for the kids. It sleeps 10 with two queen over queen rustic wood bunk beds and a single king bed. The bunk room also includes its own half bath.

THE PROPERTY
The Bear Path Lodge provides a large two acre wooded lot with gorgeous lake views. The house is located on the west side of Little Spider Lake on highway 51, yet set back for ultimate privacy. Little Spider Lake is family friendly and great for kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, floating, tubing, jet skiing, and water skiing.
This house is also prime location for all seasons of sports including hiking and snow shoeing in the winter. One of the biggest draws to this home is its proximity to some of Vilas County’s 700 miles of snow mobile trails. One of the trails crosses the end of its driveway for easy access! You are located only minutes from dozens of ATV trails as well. The property allows for plenty of parking for any of your recreational vehicles.
We understand that the stairs to the lake are not always easy. For everyone's convenience a Hill Hiker inclined electric elevator system was recently. This will allow for access for all to the lake and brand new shoreline deck.

Summary: Our family is 8 adults and 9 kids. Plenty of room for everybody. Lake front was terrific with kayaks, paddle board, canoe, huge dock for fishing, life jackets for all, fishing equipment, even kids and adult floaties. Recommend you rent a pontoon boat for your stay, large dock to accommodate it. All you need is swimsuits, there are plenty of towels, sunscreen and insect spray. Fire pits and fire cans with plenty of wood for fires every night. Lower level games were great for the kids ages 10-16, they were there every night. House is perfectly set up for a large family, either all together or in small groups. We called Mandy a couple of times with question and she responded very quickly.

Summary: Bear Path Lodge was absolutely amazing. Pictures in listing are good but so much better in person. We did not feel like we were staying in a rental, more like a friends house. Amanda has made her home so welcoming with so many personalized touches, including some local goodies. Many rentals seem to feel like they’ve been stocked with “garage sale items”…not this one! The cabinets were full. It is well taken care of and it shows, it is really clean. So many different gathering spots throughout the premises. The beds were really comfortable. My family spend almost all of our time at the lake. When we weren’t on the boat we rented we were kayaking, paddle boarding or floating on the inflatable dock that was provided. The tram allowed my dad that needs a cane to be able to join us down on the dock. We also used it to take a full size cooler down to the dock. Nothing but good memories at Bear Path Lodge!

Summary: Our whole group loved our stayed at Bear Path Lodge! I was in AWE the moment I walked into the front door. This place is so welcoming and comfortable and beyond expectations! The northern woods décor was beautiful; I discovered something new everyday. The different gathering spaces in your place is perfect for a group of life-long friends. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The porch, with the fire table, was perfect for reading books and having great discussions. I can’t tell you how may times we said that this house is so “well-appointed”. We found everything we needed to make meals, to kayak & paddleboard on the lake, to charge our phones, to locating extra supplies in each bathroom and bedroom. And your outdoor lift was a god-send for this group of old friends. Each morning I started my day by a walk down the winding stairs with my cup of coffee. I sat by the waters edge and took in that view . . . and oh what an amazing view!! Felt blessed to start my day like that. Thank you again for sharing this wonderful place with us. It will remain a favorite destination for me!

Summary: Just perfect for our family vacation. Location of the home was extremely convenient to town. The lake is just the right size: big enough for a speedboat, but small enough for kayaking. The home was clean, with large open spaces for gathering together, with many bedrooms and bathrooms. The little kids loved the bunk room while the adults loved the three-season and game/bar rooms. The property was quiet and private with plenty of outdoor activities provided for on and off the lake. We hope to return!

Summary: Wonderful Lake Home with plenty of space for 6 couples. Everyone got their own bedroom and there are plenty of bathrooms. Loved the large kitchen, dining and living room with vaulted ceilings. The downstairs bar and game room was a big hit for us as well. Great location and proximity to all the XC Ski trails we like. Will definitely consider another stay here next year. Thank you for sharing your amazing lake home!

Summary: Amanda was an amazing host and the property is fantastic. Living room fireplace is better than pictures suggest and the lakeside deck is perfect. The lake is quiet and close to downtown Minocqua. We will definitely return.

Summary: This is an awesome vacation home that looks and feels like a Northwoods "cabin" should. Cabin actually sounds a little too small for this property, "Lodge" is more appropriate. The living areas are spacious and well appointed, and the outdoor living spaces are incredible as well. The porch area is huge, and there is also comfortable seating outside on the deck. In addition to that, there are 6 Adirondack chairs arranged around a fire pit with plenty of firewood provided. The porch, deck, and patio face west, so we really enjoyed watching the sunsets over the lake. I have never stayed in a more well equipped rental home than this one. The owners have gone WAY over the top with all the amenities that they have provided. You feel like a friend has allowed you to use their home for the week and has trusted you with all of their nice things. The lower level game room is amazing too with something for everyone. The bedrooms are very nice, and the beds themselves are comfortable. We really liked Little Spider lake. While it is on the smaller side, it was not overly busy while we were there in late August. We rented a pontoon boat from a company in Minocqua and did a lot of cruising, wake boarding, and waterskiing. There are quite a few stairs down to the water, but that was not a big deal for us. There is a power lift that wasn't quite ready to use when we were there that should make the hill even less of a problem for future renters. There is really nothing to complain about. Though if I were forced to come up with something, it would be the "Cool White" LED light bulbs in big chandelier over the kitchen island. They really do ruin the cozy warmth of the lodge. Just a pet peeve of mine! ;-) Thanks for an amazing family lake vacation!
