Summary: We like experiences and felt staying in a houseboat on a canal in Amsterdam would be awesome. The communication was amazing and we appreciated how kind and accommodating the owner and the agent were. The strange part: was it was walking into a stranger's home while they left for the week. It was not the cleanest and it was strange having someone's "stuff" there. Location was fair - 20-30 minutes walk to most sites. There is a grocery store close by. Although a cool concept we would not stay here again.

Summary: This was a great location. It was near the heart of Amsterdam, but without all the noise and excessive people. Staying in a boat was a nice experience. We will likely do it again.

Summary: The houseboat was absolutely fantastic Getting in early, our host Hedy was amazing and allowed us to drop-off our bags and change into some fresh clothes and texted us a couple hours later when the place was ready. She gave us a tour of the place and even left us a yummy bottle of cava to enjoy! We booked a houseboat with the expectation that things might be a bit cramped, but were pleasantly surprised to find the boat to be much more spacious than we anticipated. The kitchen was beautiful. The bathroom was spacious with a simple, yet great shower(tall showerhead, good pressure, plenty of space). The bedroom was comfy and dark, perfect for sleeping in. And the living room was large with comfortable couches and a dining table. The best part was the patio space, off the backend of the boat. Many days, we would return to the boat in the afternoon to relax and recharge, sitting out in the incredible weather. We also finished most nights with a glass of wine outside. The comfort of the space, the neighborhood, the vibe - all perfect. Having a week in the city, we were able to explore every neighborhood; which only made us love our area more and more. With the boat located on a quiet canal, we felt such a rejuvenating sense of solitude. And still, it only ever took a 5-10 minute walk to get to a much more bustling area of town. So, we really got the best of both worlds! For a magical lodging experience completely unique to the city, look no further!

Summary: Hubs and I felt like we were getting a warm hug from the boat itself. Not modern, but a solid and most enjoyable stay. The boat had everything you could need. It’s on a canal with not much traffic, so quiet and peaceful. It’s a nice break after being out in the action all day. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!!

Summary: Katja was responsive and accommodating to our requests. The houseboat is very rustic but everything works as it should. Located in a quiet (except the trolleys passing on both sides of the canal) residential neighborhood within walking distance of everything you need or want to see.

Summary: Great Location with good access to important areas. Chose this to experience of house boat living in Amsterdam. Wasn’t disappointed and got the flavor of being in a local neighborhood with local people. Pleased with the experience.

Summary: I spent a little over a week in this great spot. It was unconventional but I had everything I needed. The kitchen was small but fully equipped, and I loved watching the ducks and swans swim by as I cooked . I worked at the dining table and was able to workout in the sunny living space. The bed room was small but I slept great. I would definitely go back and would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a stay experience.

Summary: This houseboat is wonderful. It's very clean and comfortable. Walkable to all points in in the Amsterdam area, we didnt need to uber once. The host is also wonderful, she went above and beyond to help us check in because of our early flight.
