Nestled on the edge of a secluded wood on the outskirts of Llaneilian, a scattered rural village on the delightful North East coast of Anglesey and part of a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. This luxury 300 year old Barn has been sympathetically converted and boasts amazing sea views across the adjoining countryside and to the spectacular mountain range of Snowdonia beyond.
This tasteful barn is conveniently located for couples looking to explore the local area, whilst offering a peaceful getaway from busy daily life.
This idyllic setting is a perfect holiday retreat for animal lovers and walkers alike.
The patio windows in both the living area and bedroom, frame the woodland that provides sanctuary to the abundance of resident wildlife, including red squirrels, rabbits and pheasant - not to mention a wide variety of garden and woodland birds.
Sit and observe their daily activities from a little closer outside on the large balcony (if you're quiet enough...) accessed from either of the patio doors. On a clear morning, if you're an early riser, you can also watch the sun come up from behind the Great Orme at Llandudno.
The impressively sized property consists of:
- A cloakroom (a must for those muddy boots)
- An open-plan living room with a huge corner sofa and well fitted kitchen including washing machine, dishwasher, induction hob, oven, microwave and plenty of cupboard space.
- A large bedroom, furnished with a generous Super-king size bed, fitted wardrobes, dressing table and wall mounted flat screen tv
- An En-suite bathroom providing toilet, wash basin and a spacious shower enclosure with electric shower.
This converted barn, although attached to the rear of Tyddyn Mawr, is totally private and secluded, but the hosts are always nearby if needed.
Anglesey has numerous award winning beaches and attractions, all of which are only a short drive away. The coastal path stretches 125 miles around the Isle giving opportunity to walk along cliff top paths and explore deserted coves, such as Porth Y Gwichiaid (Periwinkle bay) which is a small shale cove only a couple of miles from Tyddyn Mawr. There are many places close by to enjoy cycling, boating and fishing (fishing trips go from Amlwch port just over 3 miles away).
There is ample room on the drive for a boat and up to 2 cars, Tyddyn Mawr is an ideal place to stay when visiting Anglesey.

Summary: Waking up to bird song, countryside and sea views was a highlight of our stay. The apartment is of a very high standard and a great place as a base to roam around the island and to flop and relax afterwards. Thanks to Catherine for coming up to chat to us, we would highly recommend.

Summary: Cath was an excellent communicator pre and throughout our stay. The living area, bedroom and bathroom are all HUGE and beautifully finished/ decorated. One of the biggest and most comfortable beds I have ever slept in and a massive hot shower in the en suite which was perfect after an especially rainy walk on the one day of our trip. Only one star dropped off for location purely because there isn’t an outside space to enjoy evening sunshine. There are however breathtaking views from the balcony, sofa and bed and I definitely spent more time looking at that view, the sheep and cows than at the TV. Rest assured though…the TV also huge and fab! Otherwise though the locations proximity to shops and beaches is a short drive and it makes a perfect base from which to explore the wonderful Island of Anglesey. Many thanks Cath for a lovely stay. Summary: Countryside, sea views and the dramatic backdrop of Snowdonia National Park, all infront of you from this beatiful property nestled at the foot of a natural woodland. The accomodation is spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and well appointed. Comfortable furnishings and all the essentials for a 'home from home' stay. Ideally situated to explore the many attractions and beaches on the Eastern side of the island, or to simply relax on the balcony and enjoy the peace and beauty of the natural surroundings. Catherine is a super host who is just next door should you need anything. Very welcoming and friendly, but also discreet and distant, allowing you to enjoy this lovely holiday home and setting in total privacy.

Summary: This property is just stunning. Its a converted barn attached to the owners cottage in the middle of a quiet country lane. There is nothing but fields surrounding it. There are Seaviews front and back. The barns is stylish and done to a high spec. Its like a swanky city apartment inside. Everything you could need as available in the property. Its located at the northern end if the island. The host Cath was so attentive and helpful. Messages with clear instructions before we arrived and a mobile number if we needed. We will definitely be going back.
