Summary: Our drive into Lisbon was a bit rocky (rush hour) and although our host, Marta, was clear about not attempting to drive to the apartment, I drove as far as I could (about .4 miles away) so my wife and family could "walk" to the penthouse apartment while I somehow found my way back to the airport to return our car. I called my brother in law on my way back in a taxi and asked how the apartment looked and he said "beyond your wildest imagination". He was right - the apartment, multiple penthouse patios, the rooms, amenities, THE VIEWS were all AMAZING. Marta was so helpful and kindly responded to us very promptly. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and snacks as well! The location was amazing - be prepared to walk some hills in Lisbon! I would recommend this wonderful apartment to anyone!

Summary: A magical experience to wake up in the clouds, in our own “Castle” in the sky. The architecture, the food, the history, the people are all so lovely and made this a 5 star trip we will never forget! Summary: You simply can not find a better terrace in Lisbon. Simply amazing. As others have noted, this is inside the castle walls. This brings amazing charm, as well as tourists. Be prepared for serious walking to get down and out of the castle. We are an active family and found the extra steps and calf workout to be a plus. There are little groceries within 7 mins and a big complete grocery within 10 min walk. Restaurants are everywhere. We cooked in about half our meals. Even for nights eating out we did wine and cheese before taking in the views on the terrace, and often some port at the end of the evening. Also as others have noted, there is a musty smell on the lower level from old plumbing. We had the windows open constantly which brought in fresh air, so it was fine. However, in colder months, or got very sensitive noses, this will be an issue. AC works well. Beats and towels are all great. Communication was excellent! There was a problem with a lock and a handy man was sent quickly and all issues resolved.

Summary: The light and the views were amazing. So much to see out the windows – Boats on the river, a Peacock on the roof of a house across the way, a rising blood moon behind the church . We loved the elevator de Santa Justa, a Gothic journey to a Gothic Church. The “Feira da Ladra” the market was fantastic for unusual Treasures – We bought a super light We had a wonderful meal in Grenache Restaurant down the road. From Dublin – Ireland
