Positive: Being able to request for picked up and sent off was a plus point. Hostess and team is responsive and friendly. Plenty of amenities provided such as hot drinks, self care, vending machine and washing machine. Lounge area also available for you to relax, watch tv, read manga and also massage chair. They got 2 onsen available for reservation for FREE. You can walk to Tsugaike resort or their driver can sent you to the destination

Positive: Run by a lovely host. Light toast breakfast was included with our stay. Lots of shuttles offered that we didn’t use because we had a car. Nice amenity bar offered.

Negative: Location is a little removed from Tsugaike base, though still walking distance. If you book a room without a private bathroom, the only place to shower is the public bath which may have limited availability.

Summary: Great stay, would recommend.

Positive: Excellent service. The landlady and all the staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Incredibly clean. Great location - quiet but only a 10 minute walk into town (or their is a shuttle that is offered). Amazing japanese bath facilities

Positive: We were the only guests at the pension, but we were still taken care of amazingly. Our room was clean, comfortable beds, bathroom was small but the Onsen was ready to use so we did not need the bathroom. Dinner and breakfast were amazing as well. We were picked up at the trajn station. And bells were available during our hike to scare away the bears.

Negative: Nothing.

Positive: It was our first time in Japan. We drove from Tokyo to Sapporo to ski at several resorts. Pension Kobekko was by far the highlight of all our accomodation. We stayed 4 nights and it felt like a home away from home, from the moment we stepped in. Tika is the most accomodating host, so warm and helpful. We had a double room with bathroom and it was very large, clean and warm. We had one breakfast and one dinner and both were sensational. The facilities are amazing including tea and coffee, cozy lounge room, dry room, laundry facilities (washer/dryer), shuttle bus to the slopes or town for dinner. But the absolute best part was the 2 private onsens which I used morning and night. I actually didn't want to leave but we will make sure to book again next year. Thank you Tika xox

Positive: Very traditional breakfast, well presented. The hosts Chika and Toshinobi were very helpful and accommodating to help us get to the ski field and to dinner in the village and on other missions

Negative: More hooks in our room to hang up clothes would have made life easier
