Positive: we loved the restaurant recommendation, we liked the size of bathroom and that we could open the windows. not too noisey and felt safe for most of pur stay.

Negative: Overall I believe the staff need to brush up on their communication skills. If you live in a marathon town, with a marathon every year; you know when the marathon is. We personally believe they should have told us this months in advance at the time of booking; and that there would be major disruptions at the time of our check out resulting in no taxis available. We know that these simple communications can be done as our family members (not us) continually participate in multiple marathons per year. Due to this lack of communication we had to cut our stay short by a night and find accommodation elsewhere in order to make our flight the next day. On the topic of communication, when we asked for our medications to be stored in the fridge, it should have been noted somewhere at reception under our room number or reservation as to where it was located incase of emergency. Due to lack of communication they briefly lost our medication claiming that there was "no other fridge" and perhaps it was still in the room. After further stipulatation that there was noway we had it stored in the room because there was no fridge in there, he then called his coworker who told him that it was in the other fridge. During our breif stay we felt we had to accommodate other guests and their bookings which isn't necessarily a bad thing, and are more than happy to be flexible within reason. We were expecting a sleep in after a long 2 days of travel but couldn't as they needed us to have breakfast at 7am to accommodate the other guests. On the note of sleeping it was impossible to cool our room down resulting in my daughter and I having restless and subpar sleep; mine due to the heat and my daughters due to the heat and an uncomfortable bed. We would have slept with the window open had it not have been raining and us not wanting to damage the room by rainfall. The room was very small and cramped but the bathroom was lovely and big.

Negative: Although it is close to the station, it is a bit far from the old town when walking.

Positive: I liked the apartment, the space, it was very easy to get inside yet very safe, everything was very clean,the amenities, there were enough towels etc, the staff were very helpful during check in and provided us with extra info.

Negative: The location while is very close to the main train station but has only one bus connection from the main center area…and sometimes especially in the night the connections are quite less. Another suggestion would be to have a little basic set up in the kitchen..oil/salt ecc.

Summary: A great place for 2/3 days of stay in the cozy town of Salzburg.
