Positive: Very clean and cosy. Loved the log burner. The utility room was really handy for boots, coats etc. Perfect location for walking with the dog and great to have a private parking space. Good communication from the owner. Shower is amazing!

Negative: Only a suggestion, but there wasn't a spare socket next to the bed that was available, without unplugging the lamp. The sockets looked a little busy, so I didn't want to play with anything. Not a huge problem, as there was one by the door.

Positive: What a beautiful little home from home. Well equipped cottage in a good location. Although the cottage is close to a main road, this wasn't a problem as it's set back, and once inside, there was no traffic noise. There's a little front garden to enjoy weather permitting, unfortunately we didn't have great weather. A short walk up to the castle was a nice evening stroll, too. There's a local spar shop within walking distance and an Aldi for a main shop close by. There were a few pubs that do meals, an Indian restaurant, and a couple of takeaways in this tiny village. And, more hairdressers than I've ever seen in a village before!!

Negative: There was nothing not to like about Pen y bont cottage. You would need to be incredibly fussy to find fault.
