Recently built and ready for your vacation stay, this lovely, gracious home enjoys a private semi-wooded setting in the heart of Mt. Desert Island. Southwest Harbor’s village is just down the road, as are some of the magical trails and lake swimming of the “Quiet Side.” Bar Harbor’s shops and restaurants are just a quick 15-minute drive, as are major park entrances. You’ll love the bright, clean, and airy spaces of this beautiful home, not to mention the peace and quiet that envelop this property.
FIRST FLOOR: Enter from the driveway into a grand foyer with a dramatic staircase. To the left is a comfortable Bedroom with a Queen Bed and access to a shared Full Bath with a walk-in shower. To the right of the entry, the Living Room features comfortable seating overlooking the wooded area behind the house. This space is combined with the Dining Area which features a table that seats ten to 12 easily. From there, enter the beautifully equipped Kitchen with custom cabinetry and high-end appliances, including a double oven, wine refrigerator, and induction cooktop. The Kitchen is open to a lovely space where the family can gather to watch TV or keep the cook company during meal prep. Small table seats four for more intimate meals. Or step through the French doors to the furnished deck overlooking the woods. Just beyond the Kitchen is a Laundry Room that leads to a separate side entry through the garage.
SECOND FLOOR: At the top of the stairs, French doors open to the Master Bedroom with a King Bed and a beautiful en suite, spa-like Full Bath with a whirlpool tub and walk-in shower. Bedroom with a Queen, a Bedroom with Twins, and another Bedroom with a Queen all share a Full Bath with a combined tub and shower off the hallway. Bedrooms enjoy ceiling fans and heat pumps providing cooling air in the summer.
OUTDOOR SPACES: A lovely sun-filled deck with furnishings is perfect for outdoor dining. Just beyond the house is a sweet brook. Nice yard for safe play.

Summary: Home was exactly as advertised. Large rooms, well appointed kitchen and plenty of space for everyone. Great location close to Acadia and Bar Harbor.

Summary: The property itself was great. The checking-in process was easy once we figured out the keypad was on the side of the house. The main issue was the A/C in the master bedroom. It didn't work in the master bedroom. The first few days were OK because the weather was cool but the last three days were unbearable. The other issue is the smell and dog hair in the living room. My family didn't wear shoes in the whole house and constantly can see dog hairs on the bottom of the slippers or socks. We can also smell dogs on the couch in the living room. We were told to check in at 4pm and out by 10 am so that they can do a deep clean. I would expect that was the same thing before we checked in. So, it was surprising to experience that. Otherwise, the property is in a great location to get to Bar Harbor or Acadia National Park. We were also very pleased with the space we can have (9 of us) during our stay.

Summary: This property is in a great location if you want to visit Arcadia or Bar Harbor! Very comfortable, fantastic deck and kitchen - great for a family retreat. We saw dear near the property which is smack in the middle of nature but only several minutes away from town.
