Summary: As soon as we arrived, we knew it was going to be a perfect weekend. It rained most of the time we were there, but it didn't "dampen" our time. We spent a lot of time reading the old newspapers/magazines throughout the home and relaxing in the hot tub or on the lanai. The grounds are spread out enough to just walk around the property and let the puppa dogs stretch their legs. We also took to the trails a couple of days (they are only clear to a point). In the evening we settled in to a nice warm fire in the magnificent fireplace! On the last day my husband even let me beat him in a game of ping pong :) To say the hosts were amazing is a gross understatement. They stayed in touch and made us feel like old friends. Instructions and information were readily available.

Summary: Enjoyed the stay very much. Quiet stay in the hillside. Hot tub , fire pit , indoor fire place and a nice back deck to relax on. It was very enjoyable and we would return. The upstairs main bedroom mattress was a little hard / firm for our liking. But wasn’t a huge deal. The stay was very much enjoyable overall. Herb was a pleasure to deal with.

Summary: While feeling isolated from the world, enjoying nature all around, we were still very close to town and activities. We particularly liked that the "game room" was located away from the house and provided great entertainment for all. The one draw back was no bedroom area on the main floor and many steps upstairs and downstairs to go to bedrooms. House was well stocked with everything needed and felt like a comfortable, cozy space.

Summary: It was a great place to stay for the family close to JMU with a fun cabin feel. The house was rustic as shown but had a fun vibe we had everything we needed and loved the huge fireplace and the hot tub. Didn’t get a chance to explore the property or play outside much as we were busy with graduation activities but it met all our needs for cooking and sleeping and hanging out inside. It was a nice place to celebrate our daughter with family.

Summary: We had an amazing time at this cabin and wish we could have stayed longer. It is in a quiet secluded area but the town was not far to go grab groceries and other necesseties. There was lots of room for our dog to run and we really appreciated being able to bring him. Most of our time was spent outdoors. There was a pool, hot tub, grill, and a firepit. Everything was very clean. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed. We have absolutely no complaints! Everything was great! Thank you Herb and Kelly!
