Perfect cottages for a family or traveling couple on the banks of the picturesque Bayou Teche. Located in the heart of Cajun Country you are just a few miles from the world famous Tabasco factory at Avery Island, many festivals and the quaint downtown of New Iberia. This cottage is a renovated sugar cane farm housing built in the early 1900's. Accommodations a full size bed in one bedroom, a full bed in a second bedroom and a pull out sofa in the living room. The cottage also has a large kitchen area with full size refrigerator/freezer, microwave and breakfast area. Throughout is decorated with vintage 1950's furniture giving it a very comfortable feel. A large shared screen in porch is great for relaxing and overlooking the peaceful waters of the Bayou Teche.

Summary: The Olive Branch cottage was perfect for visiting family not far away. It was nice to watch a huge flock of Ibis settle in the water from the spacious screened porch. I recommend the cottage!

Summary: As a VRBO host myself, I can say this place is one of the nicest I have encountered. It looks freshly remodeled. It’s clean and decorated thoughtfully. 2 rooms, 2 televisions. Climate control and fans. The grounds are gorgeous! It’s on the waterfront. Country getaway close enough to the city for restaurants and galleries and shopping. I loved it. Anyone that decided to stay here would. I had a lovely chat with the host prior to checking out this morning and he was down to earth and told me a bit about the history of the structures we were staying in, which made me appreciate our stay even more. Highly recommended!

Summary: Very clean, quiet, and interesting place to stay. We appreciated the history behind the cottages and the decorating…very charming and unique! We especially enjoyed sitting on the screened-in porch at night, watching the Bayou Teche. A great experience for anyone interested in the history and culture of south Louisiana

Summary: Very easy check-in. Well appointed amenities. We stayed in the 2 bedroom. Comfortable beds. Screened in porch with view of the bayou. Very relaxing and close to everything around Lafayette. The owners are right there so if you were to need something they are available to you. We were VERY happy with our stay and you will too.
