Summary: Amazing host and house. This place is immaculate and so inviting. They have a must see binder. It is probably the best binder I have ever seen. The property is great. The views are amazing. They have several outside buildings to check out too. We are already trying to figure out when we could get back. Thr beds are comfortable. The place is well stocked. We were only there one night and we had everything we needed. Wished we had stayed longer.

Summary: Salvage Gulf state Park is really wonderful. So many beautiful trails. Unfortunately we went during the fry season so there wasn’t much to the waterfalls. The house is wonderful. So clean and comfortable. The property is gorgeous. The only thing I would say is it’s not much of a cooks kitchen if that’s what you are planning on also there are no supermarkets nearby. We went to the Food Lion in Manchester on the way in but there is a dollar general where you can get basics. The hosts were also wonderful, easy to contact and had everything set for our arrival. A nice family place to stay

Summary: This was an incredible property!!! We loved every second of our stay. It was easy to access, all amenities were present, it was quiet and so peaceful! I loved interacting with the owners and cannot wait to come back again!! Thank you!!

Summary: The view is gorgeous. The house and property are lacking nothing. This is a great location for cool hikes and close proximity to the caverns for concerts. The hosts are available for any needs. If you are looking for a vast Tennessee view, wide open spaces, and a comfortable, very well maintained rental with two bedrooms, this is the place. Fireplace for cool weather and central air to beat the heat. The patriot theme of the house adds an interesting flair. The comfort of this place was just above and beyond, from breezy decks valley side for enjoying or dining to a ceiling fan in every room, you would be hard pressed to ask for anything more. We will be back

Summary: I’m a man of few words, but it only takes a few to describe this place. The host was very friendly and accommodating. The house was very clean and well taken care of. The view is one you can usually only dream of. We loved it and will be coming back soon.

Summary: We came for a show at the Caverns and some hiking with our dogs, and Patriot's Retreat was a perfect location for us. The house was clean and had everything we needed, and the view out the back was incredible. The welcome manual was extensive and included so much information about nearby restaurants and hiking, we really appreciated it and definitely used it to choose our hiking spot! Kim was quick to respond to any questions we had. I would definitely stay again if I came back to the area!

Summary: We enjoyed our 5 night stay at Patriot's Retreat. We were originally scheduled to move to Sunrise Mountain Cabin (also owned by Kim and David), but they allowed us to stay in this unit because construction was going on next door to their cabin. The views were beautiful. Area was so peaceful. In the middle of nowhere, on the top of a ridge. Rarely heard any noise except the birds, the insects, and the breeze in the trees. Lots to do and explore on the property and nearby state parks and other outdoor areas. We enjoyed looking at the night sky and all the stars each night from the nice porches. Loved having a full bathroom upstairs and another full bathroom downstairs. (Bedrooms were upstairs.) Kitchen had everything necessary for cooking. Kids (and adults) would love the Marvel theming of the home. Also lots of patriotic, military (Navy), and NASA-related decorations. Pictures are accurate. Hope to come back to enjoy the hiking, the views, the peace and quiet, and the surrounding areas soon!
