Positive: Room was modern, clean (I could've found dust with my 'hotel inspector' white gloves if I was so inclined) and the bed was comfortable.

Negative: Tranquil Space for Two? That was the title of the property. It didn't mention it was a room above a busy pub. It wasn't tranquil as the noise from the pub was clearly heard in the room, and the smells/sounds from the kitchen didn't lend to being 'tranquil'. The address was 'Church View'... the window blind didn't work, but having a quick peep behind it, the room should've been called 'Flat Roof and Housing Estate View'. If I'd been looking for a tranquil room for to, I would've been very disappointed. As I was a lone traveller, the room was fine. However, what did irk me more than the actual room, was having to pay a third party (Truvi) an admin fee! They wanted £40, non-refundable 'insurance waiver', or the alternative was to pay £500 up front with them refunding £490 if I manged to stay in the room without wrecking it. If I'd known this when looking for a room, I would've chosen one of the many alternatives for less money, which included breakfast.

Summary: Room OK. Extra charges NOT OK.
