Negative: Boiler not working on arrival as water pressure right down, upstairs bathroom plug & loo seat broken, instructions re rubbish & recycling, info in house manual very random - no index or pagination.

Positive: The cottage had real character and was very well appointed with spacious rooms. Absolutely everything we needed in the kitchen and nice little touches like a vase of flowers and some cornish fudge. We met Ruth, the caretaker, and she was very helpful and pleasant. The location was amazing - only 10 mins walk to Trebarwith Sands and less than that to the coastal path. A 40 minute walk to Tintagel along absolutely beautiful cliff tops. Would highly recommend this cottage.

Negative: We found parking a little tricky at times and we couldn't always park in the allocated spot due to another car partially blocking the space. However, we did manage to find other places to park in the village so not a real problem.

Summary: A simply wonderful place to stay!

Positive: Great facilities, great location and very well equipped to feel like a home away from home.

Negative: The downstairs en suite was the only aspect that was poorly conceived. The shower needs a proper tray and being right off the bedroom it really needs a good extractor fan. We didn’t use the shower at all. Preferring the one upstairs instead.

Summary: Lovely place, would happily visit again.

Positive: great location for walks. spacious, good bathrooms, characterful.

Negative: Parking is tricky. Housekeeping didn’t respond to our phone calls and messages on landline or mobile. very poor. kitchen could do with a good clean. No grater, no place mats. No hair dryer in any of the bedrooms

Negative: parking was a bit difficult as we have 2 large cars but it is a little village and is to be expected. there is more space further up the hill in a close just a few mins walk
