Positive: We stayed 2 nights here. The location of the hotel was just amazing. You're basically in the middle of nowhere, and this is the lowest light pollution you can get in the Portugal map. It's such a beautiful landscape, with Alentejo soul but in a very hilly terrain full of wild oak trees, cows, horses and donkeys. We loved that the hotel embraced this vibe perfectly, it was a very well designed architecture with a lot of outside spaces that had shadows. The pool and the deck are just lovely throughout the whole day. The breakfast area was also very nice, we took our breakfast to the patio so we could enjoy the view all the time. The shared kitchen was quite well equipped, we had everything that we needed to prepare quick meals. Our room was Rouxinol, it was a very nicely renovated cosy room that had everything we needed.
Negative: The whole vibe was perfect. The improvements could be only in the room in our opinion. The bed wasn't the most comfortable for us. The shower area could be planned better. Unfortunately we had a loud family in front of our door and they were quite careless about the noise they were making at 8 am and woke us up. So the doors could be more soundproof to avoid this type of situation.

Positive: One of the most beautiful hotels we've been to! A hidden gem, lost in the hills of Alentejo, so piercingly beautiful and special, that we are sure we'll be back. It's inevitable. A very special experience. The vast breath-taking views, the silence and tranquility, the welcoming and kind staff, the architecture of the building, the close neighbourhood with wildlife and nature: foxes, swallows, grazing cows and goats, big numbers of birds and smaller animals, the food and the rooms, as well as shared spaces: living rooms, kitchen, patios, and the main highlight — this stunning swimming pool, overlooking the castle of Noudar, hills covered in olive groves (that's where the foxes are probably roaming) and cows. Oh, and the stars! The starry sky is something there! We were very comfortable there with our 4 year old. We stayed in the room without a/c but we were just fine with the ceiling fan! We enjoyed the sunset dinners immensely! The grelhada we had on the last night of our stay was especially great! A truly special and magical place, and we're already missing it.
Negative: The water pressure was not amazing. And of course the road. But I guess, it's a fair price for obtaining such a special experience 😄
