Summary: From start to finish our stay was lovely. Steven greeted us on arrival and took us to our room. The house has been renovated but maintains its old world charm with beautiful light fittings, original portraits and period pieces of furniture. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was self serve cereals fruit yogurt etc and hot food was cooked to order. No problem changing items or reasonable off menu requests. A comfortable parlour was available to sit in. WiFi wasn’t great but adequate for emails and messaging. Mobile data in the whole area is hit and miss, but that’s not surprising given the terrain. All in all a great spot and we’d come back!

Summary: Me and my partner stayed for 1 night. it was such a relaxing stay. Nice to have a walk around the beautiful grounds. The breakfast was amazing. And the people who ran the manor was so helpful and polite. We will be staying again.

Summary: This was a lovely property and a fantastic location to reach all the hikes locally. The breakfast was incredible and service was great. This property is well worth a visit. Local restaurants were also very good. My advice though is if you are staying during the warm weather to be prepared. There was only a small fan in the room and it was so hot it’s was unbearable. I appreciate it is an old property and doesn’t have air conditioning but I felt we should have been told that it was that hot in the room before we arrived, as we both felt quite ill and had very little sleep and to be honest with the hotter summers we are now having there should have been more preparation for this. I would suggest bigger fans or an air conditioning unit for the room. The small fridge in the room was also so hot and had broken down all the milk went off. We did nearly check out due to the heat so be aware of this. Apart from that it’s a fantastic property and great location. I would return but not if it was a very hot unless something changes.

Summary: A fantastic small boutique hotel beautifully furnished and excellent host. Local pub very friendly and great location for many of the main walks in the Peak District.

Summary: The whole experience was amazing from hosting, attention to detail and cleanliness through to the amazing breakfast served the next morning. We 100% will returning in the future.

Summary: This is such a classy place. Everything was perfect. Kris and Steve were very welcoming and we had a brilliant stay. Great choice at breakfast and the rooms are superbly appointed.
