Positive: A warm welcome on arrival which was echoed throughout the stay by the staff we encountered during our stay. One of our party had a large number of food allergies, these were dealt with absolutely brilliantly with extra care being taken to ensure everything was cooked to accommodate this long list and delivered with a smile. The food on offer at the hotel was first class, particularly the evening meals. All the catering staff were great with attentive service throughout. The various cocktails on offer weren't half bad either lol. On one evening we even invited a couple of friends who lived nearby to join us for our evening meal so they too could share in our experience. Our room was well appointed with space for everything and a couple of chairs and small tables being ideal for watching the TV. The bathroom was a good size with nice walk in shower and even a jacuzzi bath. The Spa was also very good. A great location which was easy to find and had ample car parking. A great base for visiting not only nearby Norwich but the whole of Norfolk, we enjoyed trips to the North Norfolk Railway, Sheringham, Cromer, Bircham Windmill, Bressingham Steam Museum, Muckleburgh Military Museum, Bure Valley Railway, Mid Norfolk Railway, Norwich, Sunset river cruise from Horning, and to the excellent East Anglian Transport Museum near Lowestoft.

Negative: Only a couple of very minor points, given the warm weather a mini fridge in the room would have been very useful. Also we opted to have room service on every other day (helps to keep the workload down and saves washing that doesn't really need doing every day). On a couple of evenings we asked for replacement bottled water for the room and this was not an issue except on the final night when we were told at reception we should normally have to pay for them. This seemed odd as if the rooms had been serviced each day then replacements would have been provided.

Summary: An excellent venue, with equally excellent staff - we will be returning in the future for sure.

Positive: The Birch Lodge was increbible, super spacious and the bed was super comfortable! It was 3 of us and we had plenty of space. Everything worked perfectly well. The gym and leisure centre, although you need to pay extra, it was worth it! Super modern and the facitilies were high end! The surroundings of the property were also lovely.

Negative: The only comment was that dinner service was very slow! We had to wait a lot for the food and the sides arrived later than the main so we had to send back. That said, the food was very good!
