Positive: Well appointed shepherd's hut that appeared to be recently completed (to our eyes). Lovely rural view to sit in front of.

Negative: It's just small stuff: lack of paper towels for the sink area to clean up water spills would have been very useful and seems like an obvious addition for any kitchen area. Was a bit confused by which control turned the toilet extractor fan on — there was no obvious labelling for the switch — so we left it running. I would have contacted our hosts about this but as there's no mobile network at the site, this was not possible.

Positive: We had such a lovely weekend stay at The Owl’s Rest! The hut was cosy, clean, and beautifully kept. The family were so welcoming and kind, which made the whole experience feel even more special. It was the perfect romantic getaway. With no WiFi, we were able to fully switch off and enjoy proper quality time together – reading, chatting, and soaking in the peaceful surroundings. The bed was super comfy too, which made it hard to leave in the mornings! The hut was really well equipped – we had everything we needed, including a BBQ which was perfect for making the most of the sunshine. The area itself is stunning – we went on a lovely 3-hour walk through the countryside and ended up at a local pub, which was a real highlight. Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for more. Whether you're after a peaceful solo retreat or a romantic weekend away, this place ticks all the boxes. Would 100% come again 😊

Positive: Lovely setting, really tranquil. Made a nice refreshing change to not have a TV or WiFi so could completely relax. Peaceful stopover pre visit to Lotus Hethel, just what I needed

Negative: Approach road was a bit bumpy, not ideal for a sports car lol but apart from that nothing!

Summary: Amazing little relaxing gem, highly recommend.
