Positive: Hotel in town centre. Good level parking within the hotel for motorbike. Felt secure but 8 euros per night. We had deluxe room with balcony which had stunning views of the monastry, mountains and town. We spent one eve on balcony eating local food and wine from local supermarket. Room spacious, clean and beds comfy. Good sized bathroom. Room hsd valuable air con as we were there in heatwave! Food in restaurant ok . Not too expensive. Good pool. Nice grounds.

Negative: Staff were friendly but service was lacking. No direction given on finding room ..it was a maze with rooms on floors that were duplicated in the annex....you walk a long way in this place...our room was 101...but had to use two different lifts in different locationsto get there.! Both having to press 1st floor button. Effectively we were on a 2nd floor. Weird. We booked table in restaurant but reception guy scribbled it down on piece of paper....when we got to restaurant we were not on the list ! Given table anyway but waited 35 mins for order to be taken and over an hour in total before any food appeared. It was busy but not what we expect from a Paradore. Reception did not tell us where breakfast room was either. Wandered around and eventually asked at reception....door was opposite but no sign etc! Communication, is the issue here....get that sorted and all will be good.

Summary: Good stay. Motirbike friendly. Communication could be better.

Negative: The only factor which didnt earn the Parador 10/10 was the pool being closed. We would have loved a swim with those surroundings.

Positive: Perfectly located, within 1 minute walk to the village square with its several bars and restaurants. Friendly staff, lovely grounds full of lemon and orange trees and large, clean, comfortable rooms. For breakfast there is a cooked option. For motorcycles parking is very easy and secure. The car park entrance is almost right next to the main entrance. Parking is plentiful and the doors are locked at night.

Positive: The Hotel is a beautiful building, which used to be a Monastery will all the charm you would expect. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a nice selection of food and Dinner in the evenings was excellent.

Negative: They need a toilet brush for their bathroom, that's it!

Positive: A terrific location and a stunning building. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very good indeed. Secure parking. Very close to the centre and the small square.

Negative: Tricky to find down narrow, steep roads and, on a market day you must access the hotel/parking the wrong way down a one-way street. It is signed, with an arrow, but it's a narrow street down a steep hill with a 90 degree corner and I was glad we didn't meet oncoming vehicles. It wasn't actually a problem in practice though.

Summary: A wonderful hotel in a stunning location with great views from the bedrooms and the terrace.
