Summary: Beautiful place to stay and a good place to start the Camino Ingles as it’s right on the route. The staff are very helpful especially the receptionist Marta who rang and sorted out a problem with the luggage company. Couldn’t have done more to assist me. Would love to treat myself to another stay.

Summary: The stay overall was excellent with a very good dinner followed by a good sleep in a comfortable bed. The room was equipped with everything that was needed and was clean but slightly tired and in need of decoration. All good so far, but the problem arose at breakfast. I had asked the receptionist the previous evening how much breakfast was as I believed that I had booked room only. He told me that my stay included breakfast so I enjoyed a good breakfast in the morning. However, when I went to reception to settle the bill, I had also been charged €19 for breakfast. I explained that I had checked the previous evening and was met with a tirade of abuse from the very aggressive woman on reception. This was embarrassing as it was in front on other guests waiting at reception too. I refused to pay and eventually she got the manager who apologised for their mistake and deducted the breakfast from the bill. What the hotel is doing allowing such a person with zero empathy for customer interest beats me. So, after a very satisfactory stay, it left a nasty taste in the mouth and I will not be staying there again, nor can I recommend the hotel either. Shame.
