Summary: Beautiful property with amazing outdoor space. We loved spending time in the fantastic pool with views of pine trees and portugese hills. A great place for the whole family, we had our granddaughter who is nearly two and my in laws who are in their 70s and all enjoyed their stay. Plenty of space to be together, either outside in the gardens or inside the bodega, but also good to have our own spaces to retire to. Our granddaughter particularly enjoyed spotting frogs and fish in the pond. Great location, a short walk to a picturesque river beach, a fantastic tapas bar and the lovely o lagar restaurant. We also enjoyed the short walk up to monte real for stunning views over the miño. Definitely could spend many weeks here as so much to do in the area, on both the Spanish and Portuguese sides. Pam was a terrific host- very friendly and helpful. She sat with us over a glass of wine when we arrived and told us all about the area. She was also very generous in sharing with us some pool toys and anticipating some things that would be useful for our granddaughter, e.g. lending us a baby bath etc. Could maybe have done with a little bit more storage and a fridge freezer in the kitchen of the cottage but we were able to use the ones in the casitas. Would also be good to have some more lighting outside, to help with the journey from the cottage to the casitas at the end of the night. Overall a wonderful place that we would heartily recommend. A real slice of paradise!
