Summary: Beautiful location - perfect for staying with your dog, as there is a big field right outside the rooms for it to run around in. Room was very nice. Beds a little on the hard side, but ok. Excellent bathroom - love that they have split it into toilet and bathroom. Good lighting, excellent shower. The staff was very accommodating - my partner wasn't well, so they allowed us to sit in a sideroom in the restaurant by ourselves for dinner - Thank you, we really appreciated that !! Hotel has two car charging points, which came in handy, as it really is out in the middle of nowhere. Breakfast however was a bit disappointing. No "proper" cereal - only what I would call "dessert cereal" (Frosties, Coco-Pops etc). There was no hot water in the hot water urne for tea, so had to wait for it to warm up, before I could have my tea. And some small pots for your jam and marmalade would be nice. Had to stand by the buffet and butter my bread, so I could put the jam on. One little thing - a couple of small rugs by either side of the bed and a door matt by the back door would be a good addition.

Summary: I have stayed at the Globetrotter Lodge 4 times now. I absolutely love the remoteness while still being only 1/2 hour to Flensburg. If you have the chance, definitely stay here!!
