Positive: This property is a 16th century old palace with all its quirks and architectural features. A beautiful place to stay for quiet nights and the views of the pietmonte hills. Every morning when you open the shutters your met with this stunning view. The property is situated in a quiet area in a small village perched on top of the hillside. The bedrooms are comfortable with en-suite bathrooms with toiletries supplied. It’s clean, towels are replenished daily and the televisions in the room have Netflix available with excellent WiFi access throughout. Near to amenities in the town below and you will need a car to get around the whole area for supermarkets, restaurants, local shops and the airport which is an hour and a half maximum from Milan malpensa. No swimming pool but that wasn’t on our list of options. The owners are wonderful people who will assist you with any requests and you can pre plan your evening meals with them before arrival or at your stay. We ate out most evenings as we know the area, so the biggest town is Casale about 15 minutes away and full of options to fine dining and cheap family run restaurants. Our favourite was a restaurant called Capri in the town. Easy parking by app and free after 6pm. Be also mindful that a lovely little dog lives there too and belly rubs are mandatory.
Negative: None, as we expected when we arrived.
Summary: We celebrated my mums 70th birthday here at Palazzo Tornielli and we had a marvellous time as a family together.

Positive: Very friendly hosts, beyond beautiful surroundings and the building is just superb. An old palace with what appears to be renaisance-esque frescos and paintings. The area is just amaizng with lots of activities and places to see. Plenty of wineries, walking, food procuers around.

Positive: Incredible stay with the most kind hosts ever. I arrived late night and they met me very warm (even gave me the wine and some food). All the place is ancient and very well kept

Positive: The building is amazing with stunning rooms and surroundings. It was a real treat to sit on the terrace overlooking the countryside sipping a glass of the local wine. The town was charming and we had a nice dinner in a restaurant close by (the hotel does not have a restaurant). The owners were friendly and helpful.
Negative: The room was large and nice, however a bit cold when we were there in the fall. The breakfast was rather modest. As is almost always the case when you stay in historical buildings, unless they have been turned into expensive luxury hotels, they are not everywhere kept at 100%. This is sort of part of the deal and the overall experience is still better than staying with a bland hotel chain.
