Positive: Everything was exceptionally good! Roberta, Donato and Alfredo were wonderful hosts who showed us the history of the Compound, fed us deliciously prepared meals in beautiful courtyards and helped us explore this glorious countryside. This stay has given us memories to last our lives...even though we'll return to add more.

Negative: This place requires a pretty accurate GPS to find. Ours wasn't functioning well. Ask a local if you're turned around.

Positive: Roberta and Renato were wonderful hosts! Coming to Palazzo Pirro is like coming home - just fancier and with far better service. The palazzo itself is a gem. It has been refurbished with style and detail, respecting the multifaceted history of the place (ask Roberta to show you around and tell about the previous uses of the palazzo). Contrary to many other rural palazzi in Italy, this one is smaller and cozier. All visitors are greeted with a personal touch. The village is extremely small - only two or so streets - so don’t expect lots of life or events. But if you’re looking for a secret getaway, or just a rest in a beautiful setting surrounded by nature and good trekking opportunities, Palazzo Pirro is the perfect spot!

Positive: Wonderful hospitality, generosity and kindness of our lovely hosts. We experienced the living history of this fascinating palazzo. Delicious home cooked breakfasts and nibbles. We received terrific advice on local churches, villages, sightseeing and a nearby restaurant. Easily the friendliest and most charming place we've ever stayed at, truly, truly wonderful. Can't wait to come back!

Positive: Palazzo Pirro is an incredibly beautiful historical mansion, recently renovated with great taste, accuracy and attention to detail. Staying there was a rather unique experience. The rooms are perfectly clean and all comforts are provided (water, slippers, very good body care products from a local brand). The breakfast was very rich, with both sweet and savoury options, attention to dietary restriction and using locally sourced products. The hosts are extremely kind and available, they gave us advice on places to visit during our stay and put us in touch with other locals organising activities in the area. Palazzo Pirro is very well located to explore the area. It was an amazing stay and we are definitely planning to go back!
