Positive: Raffaella and Giovanni Pinzerò and Francesca and Lorenzo, Raffaella’s father and mother. They were like family. Giovanni accompanied us to the restaurants for dinner so we didn’t get lost. Being an Italian American with parents born in Sicily, I am fluent in both English and Italian. On our last day, we sat with the family, spoke in Italian with Raffaella’s parents and enjoyed the company, the coffee and the breakfast. If you have never been to Ragusa, Palazzo Degli Antoci is a must stopover.

Positive: The palazzo is elegant and carefully renovated to provide every comfort. The location is excellent, convenient to the best of Ragusa. The hosts, Raffaella and Giovanni, are the highlight of the experience. They share their knowledge of Ragusa, history insights and offer great dinner and activity suggestions. The bountiful breakfast features an abundance of home made Sicilian treats. This was a unique experience to visit a real palazzo and feel like a guest in a beautiful historic home. You are welcomed into Rafaela’s family home that was built and maintained by her family since its beginning over 300 years ago. It’s a living museum in impeccable taste maintained to the highest level. Despite this formality, you are welcomed with great warmth and hospitality and made to feel at home.
