Summary: Excellent attentive service from a top class receptionist. The hotel is full of character with nice gardens. Food was good. Rooms comfortable despite a creaky bed. Corridors were a little chilly but then I would expect that in an historic building. Overall a great find in a handy location and definitely worth a repeat visit.

Summary: Check in was seamless. Grounds are not manicured but good for exploring. Rooms were spacious and clean with fitting decor. Sheets and towels were worn out, mattresses squeaked when we moved, no AC in rooms - room on the ground floor was much cooler than our room on the first floor, it was hard to sleep in the one on the first floor with no AC, no fans. You could open all windows but no screens to prevent bugs from coming in. Breakfast was simple but sufficient (some veggies, bread, eggs, fruits, cheese, and cuts, tea, juices, coffee and etc). Free parking was a bonus. I would avoid July and August if you enjoy the comfort of cooler rooms.
