Positive: such a lovely place in the surroudings of Amsterdam. We loved to wake up in front of the so typical dutch canal in this quiet place. Zaandam is easy to access by bike: you have a direct bike lane from Amsterdam to Zaandam, with a boat to cross the river which is working all the time. Marije was very welcoming and the weather was perfect. Little dutch paradise !
