Positive: The cabin had a lot of space and the view was great. We were able to watch the farmer work on his field in front of our accommodations. Their WhatsApp system worked perfectly. They responded immediately to any requests.

Negative: No storage but other than that it was perfect.

Positive: This was our favourite place during our 6-week trip through South East Asia. The views over the rice fields are absolutely stunning, and the whole setting is incredibly peaceful. The cabins are modern, beautifully designed, and instantly make you feel at home. We sadly only stayed for one night, but we would love to come back for a longer stay. The food in the restaurant was very good, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our visit. A truly special place, we wish we could have stayed longer.

Positive: The staff is amazing — extremely kind, attentive and always taking great care of us. • It feels wonderful to support a locally-owned Indonesian accommodation, managed by people who genuinely care. • The hotel and the room are huge, beautiful and very comfortable — we honestly felt like we could live there. • The view is spectacular, one of the best we saw in Bali. • Great location in Munduk, close to the main attractions. • The hotel can organize excursions, and the drivers provided were very professional and made our days truly unforgettable. • The owners are very friendly and close to the guests, which creates a warm and personal atmosphere.

Negative: • There are trash burning areas nearby, which can be unpleasant and really doesn’t match the beauty of the place. The smell is horrible… Hopefully management can work with the village to resolve this issue. • The food needs improvement — some dishes were good, but others (like the burger) were not. It would be great to enhance the taste and variety to match the high quality of the hotel.

Positive: 10!!! What an amazing place to relax and enjoy your stay in Munduk. First off, the view…. The rice fields combined with the mountains in the background are like a piece of art. We made countless pictures and caught ourselves staring at the view for many hours day in day out. Secondly, the staff. I haven’t met more grateful and lovely nice people since we arrived in Bali two weeks ago. Because there are only 4 cabins, the whole stay feels very personal. The staff constantly call you by your name, greet you with the biggest smile and would do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Thirdly, the cabins. The cabins are very lovely and you can tell that a lot of attention to detail was given. The couch with a brand new TV was very helpful when the rain became too much. (This can happen during rain season) and i can’t say this enough but the beds were INCREDIBLE!! And when you finally wake up, a stunning view awaits once u open the curtain. The staff cleans the room very well and make sure you never run out of clean towels. Fourthly, the food. The area around the cabins doesn’t have a lot of good restaurants. We didn’t try any due to our fear of getting Bali belly. This means we were stuck eating at the restaurant at the Cabins. Luckily the food was outstanding! A tip to all: TRY THE SPRINGROLLS AND THE PERKEDEL JANGUNG!!! Do not miss out on these appetizers, they are beyond delicious. I believe we ordered them twice every single day. Fifthly, the drivers and the tours. The cabins have their very own drivers that will show you around the area. They are cheaper than a taxi and are very helpful and personal. We took a tour to the temple at the lake and see several waterfalls. Due to the weather conditions (foggy) we weren’t able to see the twin lakes from the top of the mountain so our driver suggested to go see one of the twin lakes in person. This was a good choice, the view of the lake was beautiful with yet another temple right next to it.

Positive: There are just four individual deluxe two storey properties with this accommodation which comprises a downstairs lounge and dining table, an upstairs shower room and a glorious bedroom with a panoramic view of rice fields which surround the property. Each room has contemporary design with top quality furnishings and fittings. The bedroom opens up onto a lovely balcony perfectly placed to enjoy the sunset. Beds are super comfortable using top quality sheets and pillows. Downstairs there is a sunken lounge with large tv, streaming enabled. Outside there is an infinity pool, two yoga platforms and a spa room offering a variety of treatments. They also have a dedicated driver for transport to and from the accommodation as well as trips out to see attractions in the area. We found the pricing to be very reasonable compared to other quotes received. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is ordered in advance via a dedicated WhatsApp. They also offer complementary afternoon tea each day. The food we sampled was very good. All the staff were universally excellent.

Negative: Our only minor negatives are that choices at dinner for Western palates are a little limited and the hot water supply for showering was quite short lived.
