Positive: Own apartment family stay on beach, watch sunsets, breakfast, clean, comfortable, a/c shower quiet, one good Thai local restaurant nearby and laundry facilities. Located about 15 min scooter ride from pier not far from small town. This island very local Thai. We saw big tribes of wild monkeys but they don't venture much from forest. We were only foreigners there as far as we could tell.but this is low season. Best to hire scooter to visit other beaches and caves as main beach in front gets the plastic trash washing down from India bay of Bengal across Andaman Sea in low season.
Negative: The main beach in front gets the ocean of plastic that washes down from India with the low season trade winds - this washes back in high season. But not far on scooter turn off for caves is nice beach protected from this eco disaster and it's all yours.

Positive: Comfortable clean room, amazing location right on the beach. Staff are friendly enough but not really forthcoming with information. It's such a quiet island and I would have liked recommendations about what to see etc.

Positive: The location of the homestay is perfect. Right next to Andalay Resort and directly on the beach, which was almost completely empty when we were there, as there are only a handful of hotels close by. There is a garden in front of the room with a lot of chairs and hammocks. There are only two rooms so it is never crowded. Multiple affordable restaurants and bars are nearby within walking distance. The rooms are modern, very clean and have modern, relatively silent ACs. The host was very responsive and accommodating to our wishes and spoke fluent English. The mother is always on the premise and she was the kindest and most caring woman ever. We had an medical emergency during our stay and she drove my girlfriend to the doctor and made sure that we have all we need.

Positive: Our host was a wonderful woman who took care of all our needs. Ai first we booked two nights, but when we arrived at the destination we immediately wanted to book more nights because the place was so wonderful. We had every morning a varied breakfast at the time we wanted. The lady can cook affordable and tasty Thai food on request. The apartment has two efficient air conditioning units and fans. The interior is modern and beautiful and the beds are comfortable to sleep. If you are visiting a large group, you can use two toilets and a shower. Beach bar only 50 meters away. Several restaurants, shops and scooter rentals and laundry facilities within 150-200 meters. Maximum 40m to a wonderful sandy beach where you can see the sunset. The accommodation has a cozy yard sheltered by palm trees, where you can spend time in peace without other tourists lying in hammocks. They can help with transportation to accommodation or boat trips for a reasonable price. The lady's daughter speaks perfect English and communication with her was flawless. They really wanted to do their best to make us feel relaxed and comfortable.
