Positive: We liked the location. By walking and public transport we could get everywhere we wanted. It is in less touristic area so there are many local restaurants/cafes with cheaper prices nearby. The breakfast was simple but ok: fried egg, 2 types of cheese, ham, tomato cucumber, olives, bread, jam, honey, tea or coffee.

Negative: The room was moldy and smelly. Just when you opened the door, you were „attacked” by the smell. I don’t understand such a high rating of this property. It was very cold, we had to keep heating on almost all the time. The windows are very old so you cannot keep the room warm. We stayed only for 1 night so we accepted it as it was but I would deffinitely not rent it for more nights. The room we got was far different than the one in pictures.

Positive: They went the extra mile to help us with everything we needed, from carrying our bags upstairs to organising airport shuttles, to booking transport, and sightseeing recommendations, and lending us an umbrella on a rainy day. The breakfast was simple but very fresh and delicious.

Negative: The room is small and very simple. The bathroom is old but clean. The stairs are steep.

Positive: It's a lovely truly Turkish budget hotel, with fantastic team managing it, always willing to help and provide advice. Excellent location right in the heart of the Old Town, very safe, monitored 24/7, a wonderful traditional breakfast. We also used the affordable airport transfer offered by the hotel, it was very convenient.

Negative: I liked everything, but bear in mind there are quite steep stairs to the rooms and thin walls but all the guests were respectful and we didn't have any issues.

Positive: It was a very pleasurable stay—thank you so much for your hospitality! We truly enjoyed the excellent tea at the reception on the day of our arrival, the breakfasts every morning (special thanks for accommodating them to our needs), the Istanbul transport card kindly shared with us, and the airport transfer on the day of our departure, which saved us a lot of time and trouble. Positive: Very nice typical turkish hotel well located in Fatih centre, just few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and Santa Sofia. The host is very welcoming you, you feel like home!

Positive: The staff were super friendly with Yusuf especially giving great advice on how to best spend our time in Turkey. The breakfast included was delicious as well. All round fantastic hospitality!

Negative: In hindsight I didn't plan things out on the basis of using the metro a lot, so it was a bit of a trek with the suitcases to and from Yenikapi station. But that's my fault, not the hotel. If you plan on using taxis to get to and from the airport, you won't have this issue.

The location was perfect. The train 5 minutes walking. Many restaurants with live music just across the street. He also gave us a card so we can use public transport. We only had to top-up.
