Positive: All exactly as would be expected for an old cottage - which has been a comfortable unchanging base for years with all the charms, furnishing and decor of times gone by.

Negative: We needed to use the electric cooker hob to supplement the Aga - and the controlling of the hotplates beat us totally. The markings were all worn off the knobs - and whichever way we played things we found it really hard to control the heat - but that was a small glitch in an otherwise trouble free stay.

Positive: Cottage was clean and cosy and in a good location for our needs (visiting friends in the area). Hosts were great and gave good instructions on how things worked in the cottage. Kids loved being in the conservatory a lot and the Aga in the kitchen kept the whole place toasty (February visit). Would recommend and would come back again

Positive: Very comfortable in a tranquil surrouding. I called by the owners in the morning of my stay to say the cottage was ready and when I arrived they met me as I parked my car. Very comfortable with plenty of space, Very nice bed and all the amenities you could need.

Positive: So snug. With the heat from the Aga and the little heaters, we felt lovely and cosy even when the wind outside was blowing a hoolie. Beautiful location. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Positive: We absolutely fell in love with Orchard Cottage. We have stayed in many holiday cottages, but this is the most beautiful little house we've been to. Sitting in the conservatory in the morning, watching the sunrise over the beautiful landscape, the red kites... a cup of coffee and nothing else matters... The spotlessly clean little house offers everything you need, cosy beds, two cosy chairs in the living room and a perfectly equipped kitchen with an aga. We recommend the peaceful Waterperry Gardens and restaurant. Thank you to Vanessa and Richard for inviting us to the wonderful "Open Pub" in the beautiful St. Mary's church. We loved meeting you and the neighbours. We'll be back soon!
