Enjoy spectacular views in this spacious, beautifully furnished home in Balmain, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Street parking is available, or it’s just a short ferry ride to new shopping precinct, Barangaroo, with easy access from there to Circular Quay, the Sydney Opera House and the CBD (Downtown).
The Space:
Set over two levels, this supremely comfortable home features a spacious terrace with fantastic views of Sydney Harbour and the CBD (Downtown). The terrace is great for entertaining and offers a perfect view of Sydney’s world famous New Years Eve fireworks display.
From this terrace, you’ll enter a large living room with a comfy “melt-into-it” sofa, arm chair and flat screen TV. The living room flows through to a big dining room with a table that extends to fit ten people. From there, you’ll enter a well-appointed kitchen with a dishwasher, gas cooktop, electric fan-forced oven, microwave and coffee maker. Another generous sized table here can seat up to ten people. There’s a laundry off the kitchen which has a washer and dryer, as well as a WC and shower. Bi-fold doors connect the kitchen to a fabulous rear stepped patio courtyard with an outdoor table, colourful potted flowers, designer tile touches, and an artisan-forged iron pergola and grape vines.
On the second level of the house, you’ll find three well-appointed bedrooms, all with reverse–cycle heating/cooling. One bedroom has a queen sized bed and its own en-suite and balcony with more stunning harbour views. A second bedroom has a double bed and ceiling fan, and the third bedroom has a king sized bed and balcony. There’s also a bathroom on this floor with a WC and separate shower and bathtub.
The Neighborhood:
Historic Balmain is just far enough away from the main tourist hubs of Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House and the CBD to have its relaxed vibe, but close enough to get to the action in ten minutes. With shops, markets, public transport and an abundance of eateries in close proximity, it’s the perfect location.
It’s a short walk to busses and Balmain wharf, with regular ferry services across Sydney’s famous harbour to Barangaroo and Circular Quay, both of which are close to Sydney’s CBD and train stations. If you have a car, there’s easy parking on the street outside the property.

Summary: What a beautiful property! The location and views from the balconies were divine - best sunrises and sunsets I’ve seen in a while! The communication prior to our trip with Giacomo were detailed and incredibly helpful - he went out of his way to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The decor was beautifully European and quirky. The property location was friendly, close to shops, ferry and bus stops. It was quiet and we will definitely return!!

Summary: From our first email contact until our final goodbye, we were pleased and impressed with this property. The owners have left nothing undone - they've thought of everything! The house is spacious and comfortable. Every amenity we could have needed was available. The neighborhood is quiet and secluded yet a nice walk from any shop, restaurant, transport you need. We had no issues with the specific address, using Uber and Uber Eats daily. Would recommend this for families, friends, even couples.

Summary: We loved our stay here because it felt like home. It was spacious so we could all spread out, we could cook and had plenty of sitting space. The outdoor area are so lovely too. We met Lynn too and what a beautiful gem of a person. Thank you for the hospitality- we would stay again.

Summary: One sentence says it all: this house is the real deal. Not only is it charming and beautiful on the inside, the views from the front courtyard are simply spectacular. Set in a quiet enclave of East Balmain and a short walk to the ferry stop, it allows you to get around by ferry instead of driving. At night, you can see fireworks, and marvel at the city views. Both neighborhood and hosts are delightful. They attended to every detail imaginable yet ensured we had our privacy. This location exceeded even our highest expectations. I'd give 6 stars if I could!

Summary: This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a place with all the amenities of home. Beautifully appointed with spectacular views of the city. Just a short ferry ride from all the sights. Quiet, spotless and to top it off fantastic hosts. We were a group of five friends staying in the flat and enjoyed coming home to this apartment after a day of discovering Sydney. It’s only a very short walk to the ferry which takes you past the Opera House providing excellent photo opportunities. Don’t hesitate to book this property- you won’t be disappointed.

Summary: Wow! This home was truly a blessing to my family as we traveled all around Sydney. The owners greeted us upon arriving and provided a great review of the home and the area of Balmain so that we could really get a local experience. The home was lovely and comfortable - especially the beds which we really appreciated after spending most of our days walking. The 3 bathrooms helped immensely as we traveled with two girls in their early 2's who needed their space as well as the parentals! The home has beautiful direct views of Sydney from the front balcony and is situated in close proximity so that you can easily walk to the local bus and pier which can transport you into Sydney harbor and various other important sites. We were able to shop locally for some amazing fresh food in Balmain. The home was well equipped to cook and make the basics. I would highly recommend this home for any travelers looking for a large family space and access to a beautiful historical town and easy access to the city and local sites. The owners were delightful and provided a lot of information to make our visit easy.

Summary: The stay for our family of 4 was perfect. This house is lovely with a magnificent views of the city and harbor. We enjoyed the 15 min walk through the neighborhood to the catch the ferry and the ferry ride in and out of the city was a highlight. The house has a couple of terrific outdoor areas that we, unfortunately, didn't have the opportunity to use. It's furnished with beautiful, comfortable antiques. All three bedrooms are spacious with a bed that is both luxurious and super comfortable. The 3 bathrooms are nice and clean with great showers. The wifi and washer/dryer work well. The kitchen is perfect for both preparing meals and as a gathering area (I believe the table in the kitchen seats 8-10 plus additional seating at the bar counter that runs along the wall opposite the appliances.) I should mention that the kitchen wasn't stocked with spices/oils, or at least we didn't find any. The owners are terrific and go out of their way to make the stay special. We'd go back in a heartbeat!

Summary: That We all loved this property, would be an understatement. Giacomo and Lynn were wonderful right from the day we initiated our interest. We stayed here for a conference in Sydney and felt as if we were local commuters, often greeting the same folks and doggies in the park. We loved dinner at the London hotel and became regulars. Also, Papa Joe and friends took care of us for easy meals and groceries (he makes pasta dishes for take out). It’s so easy to get to anywhere in Sydney by ferry. The parks are lovely throughout town, so it is a bit of an oasis from the hustle and crowds in Sydney. Also there is lots of construction in Sydney at the time of our stay, so we were delighted to be out of the tourist area. I would stay here again, and also recommend it highly to anyone who is fond of beautiful places with every techy, convenience as well as the comfort of a home beautifully decorated and cared for by the hosts.

Summary: We loved the property and the location is superb. It is easy to get into CBD Sydney using the ferry and to get around other places by using a combination of ferries and buses. We needed to stay an extra day due to severe weather and Giacomo and Lyn were very gracious and helpful. Loved East Balmain and the views of Sydney and the harbor were wonderful. The kitchen was very well equipped. Can’t say enough good things about this property, Giacomo, and Lyn.
